Så ska det låta at Christmas
Let's keep on surfing Swedish Christmas TV and check what SVT has prepared for us.
Well, the most interesting I've found is the beginning of Så ska det låta season with Christmas theme and 4 popular artists - Malena Ernman, Sarah Dawn Finer, Kalle Moraeus and Peter Jöback. Opera, folk, soul and newly musical stars all had Christmas releases in the past and it was definitely interesting to check how they'll be sounding together. You can watch the whole show here and some performances below.

Peter Jöback - Jul Nu Igen
No Christmas without Peter Jöback. This year Peter re-releases his "Jag kommer hem igen till jul" album 10 years after original release (which has spent 5 weeks at #1 in Sweden). New edition has included 3 tracks from "En god jul och ett gott nytt år" and brand new single "Jul Nu Igen".
On a new single Peter basically sticks to his current formula of work with Niclas Frisk and Andreas Mattsson. "Jul Nu Igen" is unhurried theatrical half-acoustic ballad with beautiful live-band arrangement and surely nice Christmas feeling. Those who liked latest Peter's releases should also like this one. Check the snippet of the song here.

Moraeus med mera: Peter Jöback, The Hives, Alina Devecerski, Sanne Salomonsen

We say goodbye to Sommarkrysset, Allsång På Skansen and Lotta På Liseberg but we say hello to an autumn show Moraeus med mera with Kalle Moraeus as a host inviting some popular names of Swedish music.
Guests of the first show were Alina Devecerski with a new single "Ikväll skiter jag i allt" and her big hit of this summer "Flytta på dig" in acoustic, The Hives singing their old song "Tick Tick Boom" and single "Go Right Ahead" from the latest album (isn't that granny closing her ears at 00.32 brilliant? but no, I don't think that the song is so bad). Peter Jöback has shown his musical side singing "Music Of The Night" from Phantom of the Opera and Danish Sanne Salomonsen have performed hew #1 hit in Sweden "Den jeg elsker" back in 1988. Both were performing singles from their latest albums as well.
The Hives - Tick Tick Boom
Peter Jöback - Music Of The Night

Peter Jöback - Släpp in mig

If you were following series of short videos presented before release of the new Peter Jöback's album "Livet, Kärleken och Döden – La Vie, L’Amour, La Mort" you've probably noticed one short video for the album's track "Släpp in mig", now it's out in full length.
Video looks as musical as this track sounds and it's a simple dance video featuring some really interesting artists you should know if you follow us - fantastic Shirley's angel Vera Prada, Man Meadow's Fredrik Olofsson and the guy behind Melodifestivalen performances since the last season - Rennie Mirro.
Peter begging Vera for a slap sounds pretty nasty... Sorry, I know it doesn't mean it in Swedish!

Peter Jöback - Jag Har Dig Nu

After a series of of sneak peeks and live performances of Peter Jöback presenting tracks from forthcoming album "Livet, kärleken och döden" here comes a real single "Jag Har Dig Nu" featuring Izabella Scorupco.
The album is already available to pre-order and pre-listen and due to snippets after the latest album "East Side Stories" it's gonna be a big step forward with grand orchestral arrangements and at the same time if we take "Jag Har Dig Nu" it's quite proper compromise between radio-friendly format and that musical aesthetic sound you can easier imagine to be played on theater gigs.
Video is 4 minutes of sex scenes with Peter and Izabella, there's no plot, only passion and surprisingly it's interesting to watch till the very end.

Peter Jöback - Precis Som Vanligt
Peter Jöback never leaves his fans without new releases longer than for a year. New Peter's album "Livet, Kärleken och Döden – La Vie, L’Amour, La Mort…" that will be released on October 19th is a compilation of French songs covered with Swedish lyrics written by Säkert and Andreas Mattsson (album will also contain 3 original tracks).
Peter has presented the first sneak peek of the album - cover of old French song "Comme d'habitude" (known also as "My Way" in Frank Sinatra's performance) at Allsång på Skansen. Song has got a title "Precis Som Vanligt" in Swedish and it sounds like you could expect Peter Jöback's ballad in orchestral arrangement (we're sure it won't be miles away in studio version), it's beautiful and classy with a taste of old musicals. You can also check another cover of Jacques Brel's "Jacky (Jacques Brel song)" - "Jackie" to appear on "Livet, Kärleken och Döden" on Peter's site.

Ansiktet - X

Salem Al Fakir, Peter Jöback, Christian Waltz, Christian Olsson (Fibes Oh Fibes), Musse Hasselvall, Mange Schmidt, Thomas Rusiak, Eric Gadd and Magnus Carlson (which is not Carlsson!). Have we seen bigger quantity of Swedish music stars guesting in the other artist's video?
If you're into Swedish music for real (and even a bit more) faces of Ansiktet will look familiar to you - Herbert "Afasi" Munkhammar is half of Afasi & Filthy and you could previously see Erik Emanuel Nordström in Lilla Sällskapet.
Now guys work together making their own special sort of soul-music and their first big success is this lovely summerish video featuring ton of well-known artists for quite pleasant new single "X". Nice moment to release it two days before Midsommar.

Peter Jöback - Räddaren i nöden

Peter Jöback is releasing brand new single "Räddaren i nöden" - very pleasant spring track written by Ludwig Bell (Swedish singer who previously was noticed working with Hello Saferide and Dreamboy).
After "Inte redo än" new song continues the line of Peter's Swedish singles. It's all about live instruments arrangement with mostly acoustic sound and uplifting fresh mood that after quite melancholic "Inte redo än" is going to fit this season's atmosphere very well. You can listen to it below.
By the way good news for all Peter's fans, according to his unofficial blog singer has revealed that tour-programme "En kväll med Peter Jöback" was recently filmed and is planned to be released on DVD or to be shown on TV depending on if interest among audience will be properly big.

Stjärnklart tour with pure gold of Swedish schlager-elite is rolling around country and though we can't be there we can taste how it looks in video-cut from Charlotte Perreli's blog. This woman always knows how to amaze her fans and this is what amazes us in this video the most:
- Charlotte and Peter in cabaret gang making "All That Jazz".
- gorgeous jazz-version of Charlotte's "Tusen Och En Natt" in a sexual dress and with unbelievable shape standing back to public.
- Charlotte performing Shirley Bassey's "This is my life" covered with a monster feather fans.
- Sarah Dawn Finer, Peter Jöback and Magnus Carlsson singing "The Show Must Go On" and I just say OH MY GOD! How great Sarah sounds!!! She was born to make this cover!
- Charlotte's disco-party with mashup of "Hush Hush" and "I Will Survive" in glittering dresses and pointing moves.
- Magnus Carlsson driving public with "Kom Hem".
- Sarah Dawn Finer in golden dress with "Bad Romance" (Yes! You read right, Sarah making Gaga!!!).
- Charlotte with another great mashup of "We Need a Hero" and her own "Hero".

Sarah Dawn Finer - Winterland

Gosh!!! This Christmas is gonna give us incredible amount of really amazing albums from some big names of Swedish music. Few days before Malena Ernman revealed that she's gonna release Christmas album soon but news about Sarah Dawn Finer's Christmas album sound like most promising release of last months. Ah, it's just words, they're not enough to say how excited I am about this release!
Last half of year soul-queen Sarah Dawn Finer constantly gave tips about her forthcoming acoustic album that she was planning for the end of year and now press-release is out on her site and we can see whole tracklist and exact date - November 3rd when the world will hear this album. Year ago Sarah recorded track "Min bön" with Peter Jöback for his album "En god Jul och ett gott nytt år" and now it's her turn to present her winter compilation. The album will consist of the most favorite Sarah's classic Christmas songs which mean a lot for her and which she was grown on and as well some which before weren't associated with Christmas like "River" by Joni Mitchell, "Angel" by Sarah MacLachlan and "Sometimes It Snows In April" by Prince. You can also find Swedish version of song "For a Friend" (from previous album "Moving On") released earlier this year as Royal Wedding single in Swedish version - "Kärleksvisan" as bonus track. The album was produced by Jesper Nordenström (The Rasmus, Daniel Lindström, Uno & Irma, Anna Ternheim, Magnus Uggla) with many guests artists and musicians involved in this record (Nisse Landgren, Eric Bibb, Louise Hoffsten, Per Lindvall, Goran Kajfes, Johan Norberg).
Below you can see tracklist and one of the song - "Maybe this Christmas" by Ron Sexsmith that Sarah performed before - quality of the video is bad but it sounds quite good to fall into complete obsession about this release!
1. I'll Be Home For Christmas
2. Maybe This Christmas
3. Have Yourself A Merry Litte Christmas - feat. Nils Landgren
4. The Christmas Song
5. In The Bleak Midwinter
6. Christmas Time Is Here
7. Angel
8. Auld Lang Syne - feat. Eric Bibb
9. I'll Be Your Wish Tonight
10. Winter Song - feat. Louise Hoffsten
11. River
12. What A Wonderful World
13. Sometimes It Snows In April
14. Kärleksvisan (Bonus Track)

Peter Jöback - Inte Redo Än

One of the most popular and beloved artists of Sweden Peter Jöback is currently working on forthcoming album, plans are quite massive - tour, new studio and live albums and sure some singles. Next one (after "Hollow") was presented in Nyhetsmorgon and Kulturnyheterna, it's Mauro Scocco written "Inte Redo Än" - sad and beautiful Autumn soundtrack that you can expect from Peter's previous albums (undoubtfully it should sound more juicy in studio arrangement). I should mention that Peter already has 5 #1 albums and all but the debut Peter's album entered Top-7 of Swedish chart so there's no doubt next album will be his another success. You can also watch acoustic performance of his another hit "Guldet blev till sand" from musical "Kristina från Duvemåla".
Not to miss any news about Peter I recommend you to check his unofficial blog in English, it's really interesting place.

Don't leave me now, I'm hollow...

Peter Jöback is really on fire this year, being one of the most respectable and beloved singers of Sweden with 20 years career he immediately became central media character when he was announced as participant of Melodifestivalen-2010 with the song "Hollow" of not less than Fredrik Kempe and Anders Hansson. But luck didn't follow Peter till the end and though he was odds favorite right till semifinal where he was unexpectedly beaten by Anna Bergendahl he finished right where previous Peter's song "En sensation" participated in 1991 - at #9 of the final and entered Top-10 of singles-chart.
However Peter was honoured to sing both on the concert devoted to Princess Victoria wedding and later on Victoria's day traditional concert (to be favorite of Royal family is not that bad thing at all, right?), he also got married and the only sad thing is that he doesn't seem to care a lot about his further releases for now. We still don't lose hope and can enjoy his last single "Hollow".
As well I need to share with you this STUNNING cover of "Hollow" made by young artist Marcus Örjehag. Marcus hasn't official page filled with info about him yet, only some Eurovision covers on youtube and this nice meeting with Hera Björk at Stockholm Pride. I bet this guy has very successful future career with such great voice so let's wish him luck!
And finally don't forget to check this pleasant performance of Peter in Grensen with one of his hits "Stockholm i Natt", he seems to be well-known in Norway so it's very nice to see warm responce from audience.

Victoria Day-2010

Yesterday Sweden celebrated 33th Birthday of Princess Victoria.
Every year Royal family and a lot of most respectable artists are invited to a big concert devoted to this day. This year was a little exception as Princess after her recent marriage was in her Honeymoon trip but all the rest of the family attended concert in Öland.
Concert was opened by Swedish pop-queen Charlotte Perrelli looking and sounding real fierce with Tina Turner's cover "River Deep Mountain High" and Sofia Karlsson's "Nu är det gott att leva". Another big schlager-name and newlywed Peter Jöback performed his own songs "I Allt Jag Ser", "En sång om oss" and The Divine Comedy's "Absent Friends". Gorgeous pop-diva Lisa Nilsson (who just like Peter was performed this year on the concert devoted to royal wedding) performed songs "I Samma Andetag" and "Himlen Runt Hörnet" which were included in her newly released compilation. Melodifestivalen-winner Martin Stenmarck performed his new single "Everybody's Changing" and "Som En Vän" from the album "I Septemberland". One of the most popular Idol-graduates Amanda Jenssen performed "I Choose You" from her last album. Schlager-veterans were diluted with young schlager-blood of Eric Saade who presented his biggest hit "Manboy". And I should also mention very nice performances of school cello-quartet from Lilla Akademin and fiddler Görgen Antonsson. Check whole concert here.
Eric Saade - Manboy
Charlotte Perrelli - Nu är det gott att leva
Charlotte Perrelli - River Deep, Mountain High
Peter Jöback - En Sång Om Oss

Some latest news about what's going on with participants of Melodifestivalen-2010.
Timoteij will release new single "Högt över ängarna" from debut album "Längtan" on June 30th.
In the beginning of May Expressen reported about Neo who after all stresses he's got in the MF-period got serious case of vestibular neuritis and had to learn how to go, now Neo's back and as a proof he performed his MF-single "Human Frontier" and previous "Flower Power Supergirl" in acoustic.
NEO - Flower Power Supergirl (live at Nyhetsmorgon)
In days of Midsommar Peter Jöback got married with his boyfriend Oscar Nilsson. You could see Andreas Lundstedt, Pernilla Wahlgren and Sarah Dawn Finer among guests. Short interview from wedding is here.

Don't forget to visit blog of Jenny Silver as you can find some interesting demos that she's recording with her husband.

Song "Vilar Glad I Din Famn" written by Benny Andersson and Kristina Lung and performed with participance of Orsa Spelmän & Kalle Moraeus gets it's single-release apart from other songs from princess Victoria's wedding included in special compilation "Bröllopsmusiken från Storkyrkan". Benny Andersson commented that he wasn't interested in putting his name among merchandising of this event. By the way Kalle Moraeus along with Salem al Fakir, Anna Bergendahl, Timoteij and Eric Saade few weeks ago received golden status of his latest album "Underbart".
Anna Bergendahl's "This Is My Life" keeps conquering hearts of European audience and is currently at #13 in chart of one of the biggest Lithuanian radiostations M-1, week before the song also appeared in Hungarian chart. Anna along with many other artists performed in Kungsträdgården at Love Stockholm 2010 and looked very-very nice in her beautiful dress (thanx to Vitaliy for photos).

Lovestoned released their album "Rising Love" in Germany, sure band has tried to make this edition special for their German fans and included new song "Who's That Girl", that you can listen below.
Currently Jessica Andersson's "I Did It For Love" is #1 in the oldest Swedish radio-chart Svensktoppen (with following "Underbart" at #2, "Keep On Walking" at #3 and "Kom" at #9), Jessica plans new single but promise next album only next Spring.

Anders Ekborg prepares for release of his album "Painted Dreams" but before we'll get new single "I Do Believe" on July 7th. You can listen piece of new single and another duet with Helen Sjöholm "Always Here" below.
And finally I need to mention that currently we can find only winners of 4 semifinals of MF-2011 in Swedish single-chart.
13 - Timoteij - Kom
22 - Eric Saade - Manboy
28 - Anna Bergendahl - This Is My Life
60 - Salem Al Fakir - Keep On Walking
