Idrottsgalan - 2013

Annual sport awards Idrottsgalan-2013 has gathered some actual artists as it happens every year and this time among event's guests you could see Eric Saade performing his newest single "Marching (In The Name Of Love)" with a big drummers band, Petra Marklund flying under the roof of Globen while performing her hit "Händerna mot himlen" and Sarah Dawn Finer doing very touching performance of "Med Dig Vid Min Sida" in a memory of passing sportsmen.

Eric Saade - Miss Unknown (video)

Eric Saade keeps presenting new stuff in a bunch and just in a week after release of previous video "Marching (In The Name Of Love)" his another new single "Miss Unknown" gets its video premiere.
This time it's more more calm and romantic, no big chases and thrillers...well, except the end.

Eric Saade - Marching (In The Name Of Love) (video)

And the second today's video premiere from another popular Swedish pop-guy is provided by Eric Saade.
Eric has recently presented new single "Marching (In The Name Of Love)" in Sweden but also works on his career in Norway and Poland (today Eric releases his album "Eric Saade Deluxe" in the first one) so both Sweden and Norway have their premieres of the new video on local media-resources.
You can check the video below and as usual Eric has tried to bring the story into the video and make it properly entertaining.

Eric Saade - Marching (In The Name of Love) (live at X Factor)

This week Eric Saade has visited X Factor to perform new single "Marching (In The Name of Love)" and he has quite properly explored his Melodifestivalen-experience of making a good TV-show. No, you won't see showers on the stage or broken glass but that intro with a lighting door and choreography breathes with something that could take a place at Melodifestivalen, don't you think?
Eric claims that he has left Melodifestivalen behind but I quite clearly see him coming back in... 2015 maybe?
Check the performance here and don't forget to click HQ, it's worth it.

Eric Saade - Marching (In The Name Of Love) / Miss Unknown (Lyric Videos)

Both Eric Saade's singles "Marching (In The Name Of Love)" and "Miss Unknown" are finally out on iTunes and while they haven't leaked on youtube by fans the team has presented them officially uploading with lyric videos.
Talking about full versions of songs - we've basically heard full "Miss Unknown" in that snippet few days ago, honestly I find it weird being released as a single and consider it as some sort of bonus-promotion. "Marching (In The Name Of Love)" otherwise has become a bit different with my expectations, when the snippet was growing promising some killer anthemic club-chorus, it hasn't turned as dancey but still marching with a big beat (a little in a way of Loreen's "Crying Out Your Name") and really nice tune anyway.

Eric Saade - Marching (In The Name Of Love) / Miss Unknown

Today is a big day for Eric Saade's fans. What should I start with? SVT has shown a concert (shot in Stockholm's Annexet) out of Eric's Pop Explosion tour and even if you're not a fan but just liked some of Mr. Saade's stuff you're gonna enjoy this 1-hour TV-concert.
Big screens, spotlights, live band, Melodifestivalen-dancers. The team has tried to give a 100% full pack of what's these days required from pop-performance in Sweden. I mean you shouldn't expect the show of Madonna's level, consider it like a gig of a local artist and then you'll be able to enjoy performance and songs filling last 3 music years of Swedish pop.
SVT's concert has become a sneak peek of Eric's DVD to be released on November 28th. You can check information about DVD here, watch the concert HERE and check the setlist of TV-version of the concert below.
And really big news are just released snippets of Eric Saade's two new singles - "Marching (In The Name Of Love)" and "Miss Unknown"! Yes he releases two at the same time. And if the first track is a quite recognizable arena-pop we hear a lot these days (Eric's slower version of "Amazing"?) sounding like a great progression of Saade's sound of the latest two albums, then the second has turned to a hip-hop influenced ballad. Eric says that his new album should be more urban but seems like fans shouldn't be scared if "Miss Unknown" is what Eric meant because it's still very-very pop.

Eric Saade wins Sopot Festival!

Sopot Festival is back! When it was an annual event every year we had at least few Swedish participants of the highest league - Agnes, September, Charlotte Perrelli, Ola, Velvet, Måns Zelmerlöw... This year we had only one but also quite famous participant - Eric Saade.
Eric has performed "Hotter Than Fire" in a full packed choreography and has won a whole thing (+ has taken a special prize from local radio)!
There's only bad quality camrip of his performance but I'll replace it with something better as soon as it'll appear.

Another show inviting Eric Saade and Molly Sandén lately is Lotta på Liseberg. You probably also expect Diamond Dogs here again as well but no we've got After Dark's Christer Lindarw with his parody and a bit of "Euphoria" which has turned not less enjoyable.

Sommarkrysset: Eric Saade, Diamond Dogs, Norlie & KKV

Eric Saade doesn't tour this summer in Sweden but stil he couldn't miss a chance to visit one of the biggest TV-shows - Sommarkrysset with Tone Damli to perform their single "Imagine" and ballad version of "Hotter Than Fire". Just like Allsång på Skansen Sommarrysset was celebrating Stockholm Pride inviting Diamond Dogs with another funny parody for Malena Ernman, Sarah Dawn Finer and Linda Bengtzing. Norlie & KKV have made a big buzz among girls in the audience.
We've also got Louise Hoffsten (with Jessica Marberger as a backing vocalist) and Eric Gadd among performers.

Eric Saade comes back to Allsang på Grensen

You can remember that last year Eric Saade was visiting one of Norwegian biggest summer live-shows Allsang på Grensen with his Eurovision-entry "Popular" doing pretty big success among his young audience.
This year his has another hit in Norway with local star Tone Damli and Eric has appeared in a new season to perform his previous single "Hotter Than Fire" along with "Imagine" (also visiting morning show with Tone).

UPDATE: Another big show Eric has performed at was Vg Lista. Result? "Hotter Than Fire" goes Top-20 on iTunes and "Imagine" - Top-5.

Tone Damli feat. Eric Saade - Imagine (video)

Eric Saade's fans were waiting for a new music video of his Idol since the last Autumn when he had a collaboration with Dev on his single "Hotter Than Fire". Right now Eric has another international duo and this time with Norwegian star Tone Damli.
Guys have released the summer single "Imagine" and have shot not less summer video in Ibiza. So you get a full pack of sea, half-naked bodies, boats and hugs-hugs-hugs.

Tone Damli feat. Eric Saade - Imagine

Leaving his sales records in 2011 Eric Saade is hardly busy on a big tour he's making around Sweden, seems like his audience is more than pleased and Eric is not going to stop recording process but has a temporary pause with new releases.
Though he always can take part in some other artist's stuff what he has actually done recording a new track with Norwegian Tone Damli who has become pretty popular after she has become #2 with the song "Butterflies" in MGP-2009 right after Alexander Rybak.
These days Tone releases a new album "Looking Back" and it contains the song "Imagine" co-written by Eric with his constant collaborators - J-Son, Jason Gill and Leslie Tay. It's pretty summerish in Baby Alice's "Piña Colada Boy" eurodance-way and produced in a recognizable style of Eric's latest albums so fans of Mr. Saade are going to be pretty happy to get this fresh piece of his music.

Helena Paparizou - Popular

Annual tradition of Melodifestivalen is inviting some non-schlager artist to make cover of previous winning song. This time SVT has made exception, cover of Eric Saade's "Popular" was made not less than by Eurovision-2005 winner Helena Paparizou who has delievered her very special version growing from Broadway musical sound to electropop heavy beat. Does it mean Christer Björkman is halfway from getting Helena to MF as an artist?

Eric Saade feat. Dev – Hotter Than Fire (video)

Eric Saade premieres new video for his latest single "Hotter Than Fire" featuring Dev and presenting his just released album "Saade Vol.2".
Video was shot in UK and Spain though surprisingly it's not about beautiful local views but about Eric dancing from one room to another in abandoned house in one-take shooting feeling a bit like follow-up of "Popular".

Eric Saade presents "Saade Vol.2" live

Today is a big day for Eric Saade who releases the second part...or to be more exact new album "Saade Vol.2" and he has arrived to the studio of Nyhetsmorgon to perform two of his songs - single "Hotter Than Fire" and another track "Rocket Science" written with Salem al Fakir - collaboration we'd never expect and I wouldn't say there are a lot of Salem in melody but you can definitely feel some Salem's vibes.
"Saade Vol.1" has got platinum status in August, let's see how things will go for its follow-up.

Swedish stars in charity calendars for 2012

Taking part in shooting for charity calendars has become an amazing tradition among Swedish musicians.
Last year I told you about Caroline Roosmark's calendar. If you haven't heard about it - it's made for charity collecting some biggest Swedish celebritites who participate for free. This year all income will be aimed to help children living in families with the only one parent and low budget. We've got not so many pop-artists - it was only Sanna Nielsen, Ulrik Munther and Marie Fredriksson this year but their images have become as impressive as we use to see in Caroline's works. You can check calendar and order it here.
Alsoe you can find another great calendar with loads of well-known faces of pop-music (Eric Saade, Danny, Loreen, Sara Varga, The Moniker, Nicke Borg, Martin Rolinski, Adam Tensta, Lisa Miskovsky) helping two organizations - Friends (against bullying in schools) and Naturskyddsföreningen (ecology organisation) here. And don't miss some videos of making it.

Eric Saade feat. Dev – Hotter Than Fire

Brand new single "Hotter Than Fire" from upcoming Eric Saade's album "Saade Vol.2" is finally presented and it's featuring one of the recent very successful international pop-artists - Dev, girl responsible for this year's hit "In The Dark".
Eric (which is not usual for MF-winners) has managed to make another successful hit after "Popular" this summer - "Hearts In The Air" and seems like he plans to keep Sweden warm with a new single "Hotter Than Fire" that actually sounds better than whole last album in our opinion. Working with the same team on a second part of the album we don't expect anything completely different from heavily electrified Swedish dance-pop explored in the first part and "Hotter Than Fire" melodically feels a lot like "Echo" from "Saade Vol.1" but at the same time it's a big smart step to a heavier Taio Cruz-smelling sound, well-defined catchy tune and Eric's vocal being more emphasized. Dev's part is pretty sexy decoration of a track as well.

Eric Saade - Hearts In The Air (Ivan Martin & Tom Chaos Remix)

Eric Saade celebrates new victory - his summer single "Hearts In The Air" has become golden hit in Sweden.
Autumn is full of new plans for Eric is the second part of his latest album will be out very soon, there's no exact release date yet but you can already order signed copy of it.
Though official release of "Hearts In The Air" hasn't got any mixes two Russian DJs - Ivan Martin and Tom Chaos have come up with a brand new mix that sounds pretty epic and utterly infectious. We wish it could be released officially!
