Idol-2011 starts today!

Our second favorite Swedish TV-show after Melodifestivalen - Swedish Idol starts today and we're excited as we always are!
We can't call last season very successful, after Jay Smith and Minnah Karlsson have released post-Idol albums with their covers we've got only two singles from ex-participants - Olle Hedberg's "Wonderful" and Linnea Henriksson "Väldigt kär/Obegripligt ensam" but this year jury has changed - we've lost Andreas Carlsson and have got Alexander Bard and Pelle Lidell instead so we're sure policy of selecting participants will be changed and we're gonna get a bunch of new interesting talents.
We'd like to celebrate start of the new season with absolutely best performance of Idol-2010 that still keeps us inspiring and gives goosebumps. Track that was nothing but nice pop-song for us has turned to a real masterpiece!

Andreas Moe - Fade Into Darkness

Andreas Moe responsible for a vocal part of the latest Avicii's hit "Fade Into Darkness" has presented his own acoustic version of the song.
If you don't know about dramatical story around this song I'll tell in short.
Earlier this year Avicii's label Ministry of Sound was sending instrumental version of the track to different vocalists to be finished and have got back among other "Fade Into Darkness" that was chosen by Avicii as his next single and track "Collide" that at the same time was chosen by Leona Lewis's team as her comeback single and that wasn't accepted by Avicii's team having already their own plans for release. Later issue has been resolved without court and Leona's single is going to be released as duo with Avicii. You can check more detailed story here.
Today we've got a tip from Being Blogged to this pleasant version of Andreas who sounds a lot like The Pusher's Jakke Erixson with his very special vocal manner and if you want to get more of Andreas' music - you should check his own stuff here.

Martin Kagemark makes solo-debut in True Talent

One of the oldest Melodifestivalen choir veterans Martin Kagemark (since 2003) has surprisingly popped up in the latest episode of True Talent show getting a huge success and standing ovations singing Peter Jöback's "Nu Eller Aldrig". Martin is a real schlager-proffs and his performance contained the highest schlager-concentration, really strong performance. Martin is already second Melodifestivalen backing singer after Anorah in this show.
Other latest highlights of True Talent for us were Lucia Pinera Karlsson and Johan Yngvesson.

Emilia De Poret - Weightless

Three years after Emilia De Poret's "Pick Me Up" album release singer presents track "Weightless" from it as a new single in US.
Though initially song was a ballad it has got a dance-cure from Planet Funk but without that heavy expression you can expect from team's own tracks. It's trancey, soft and chillout, we still adore album version of "Weightless", utterly emotional and deep ballad written by Arnthor Birgisson, Gordon Chambers and Savan Kotecha and can enjoy new version as well. As a remix. By the way below you can check another nice mix from Emilia's EP.

Daniel Lindström - I Know Nothing

Just a few days ago we've got incredibly sad information that Lovestoned - band that gave us one of our favorite Swedish pop-albums of 2010 has split up half a year ago. And now first Idol season's winner Daniel Lindström comes back with his own version of Lovestoned's track "I Know Nothing" that was actually written by Daniel with Fredrik Larsson and Stephen Simmonds and never was released by Lovestoned as separate single in Sweden (only in Germany) so it's gonna sound fresh for ordinary listener.
Talking about the song - instrumental part is almost equal to original mix of raggae-pop and soul, Daniel's unique vocal-manner still drags the song to his own area of music image and personality and it's still very good track but definitely not miles away from Lovestoned's version.
