Darwin & Backwall feat. Sibel - Alone

Big movements in Sibel Redzep's career. While September has stopped working with her manager Victoria Ekeberg, Sibel has joined Victoria's current team (SOJO, Gathania) so we can expect some great dance stuff from Jonas von der Burg soon.
Anyway Sibel doesn't stay idle and DJs try to get her voice on their records.
David Sjödin and Andreas Backwall have released a brand new house-track "Alone" with Sibel. Ragged piano chords and beautiful dreamy tune creates very light summerish atmosphere. Track feels like a distant relative of "United As One" but it's a definitely different story. Check radio-edit here.

Darin and Sibel in Kvällen är din

In new episode of Kvällen är din we've got some new dreams coming true with the help of two amazing Idol veterans - Darin and Sibel.
Darin was singing his old hit "Homeless" in duo with Gry (also performing his new single "Nobody Knows") and Sibel has recorded a song with Petra who dreamed her own song to be performed by some celebrity. Check what has become out of it.

Sibel - Wake Up (Alex Sayz Remix - full version)

Finally that fantastic floorfiller we told you about week ago - Alex Sayz's mix for the latest Sibel's single "Wake Up" is unleashed in its full version!
What new can I tell you about it, its melodic track with actual sound and summerish feeling prepared by recipe we adore especially in this season so you'd better enjoy it and decide youself how good it actually is.
Our final decision - absolutely clubdelicious!

Sibel - Wake Up (Alex Sayz Remix)

Hey everyone! After a small blogging break connected with my work overload and PC being in repair I'm back to summarize everything I've missed for... not a week, more globally, I extremely need to remember all the stories I wanted to tell you for the last months but didn't find time for it, trust me there are a lot of them but now I'd like to share something more fresh.
Sure you remember how Sibel Redzep has generously provided vocal contribution for Alex Sayz's single "United As One" and what a great track it has become. Now it's time for Alex to help Sibel and he delivers remix for Sibel's new single "Wake Up" and it sounds pretty brilliant growing from dark pulsing intro to fantastic trancey clubtastic chorus making it dancing on the verge of Kate Ryan's stuff - still poppy in the best sense of this word. Full version's to come later...

Sibel - Wake Up (video)

Our sweetheart Sibel presents new video for her latest single "Wake Up". Actually the first video since her first album when she was singing melodic acoustic schlager-pop and videos were also romantic and warm.
Now it's new Sibel with modern music and fresh image. In new video Sibel is trying to wake her guy up to show some interest for her being in front of cartoon backgrounds, what we love the most is undoubtfully Sibel's glamourous pink saw. We need to know where to get one right now!
The song is still fantastic in our opinion, it's like older sister of "Stop" and if you loved "Stop" you're gonna absolutely love "Wake Up" as well.

Sibel - Wake Up

Sibel doesn't stop to positively surprise us with every new single.
Not that we didn't like her debut album that was really pleasant warm melodic schlager-album showing all strength and beauty of her voice but what Sibel shows now is really modern international stuff that I think she's more about. After trying Gaga-sound in "The Fall" she turns to different side with powerful guitar-driven pop-track "Wake Up" with delicious production of verses sounding with Rihanna attitude and blasting choruses a bit Pink-way. Gorgeous track and by rumours from Tobbe Ek's blog new Sibel's album will be released soon.
Before I told you about Sibel making amazing piano-covers for some contemporary hits and this time she hasn't left us without this treat performing piano-version of "Wake Up", you can chack it below with full studio-version.

E-Type is coming back!

Can there be anything more exciting than return of eurodance king Martin "E-Type" Eriksson with brand new single produced by not less than Max Martin who worked with E-Type on his biggest smash-hits?
In his blog this Autumn E-Type told that last summer he has recorded the song with working title "Eira's Song" (as the name of his new dog, but final title of the song will be another) borrowing Max Martin's studio and then Max Martin with John Shellback called him and asked him to come with all the stuff for the song and when E-Type has listened his re-produced song he's got goosebumps and promises great party song with recognizable E-Type sound but brand new, simple and crazy fun goodfeeling song. Song was initially planned to be released in the very beginning of the year but problems with E-Type's absence of contract has lead to delay. Now it's fine and single is to come very soon!
Martin also works on another new track with "girl who beat him out of the Eurovision song contest a few years ago" - obviously Sibel who has beaten him with The Poodles out in Second Chance of Melodifestivalen-2008. Sibel as great vocalist can sound awesome on dance record so I think it wouldn't be bad at all to get her as constant E-Type's vocalist if there's no chance to get back Sanne Karlsson who's currently involved in Play.
Above you can see Martin during new photo-shooting, looking too fresh in his 45!

Sibel - Our Generation

I guess you've got we have a weakness for voice of young sweet Sibel, so it's definitely pleasant to discover some new pieces of her music and this new is completely brilliant!
American Disney channel has started airing new tv-show "Shake It Up" collecting some great forces for music decoration of series. One of songs was recorded by Sibel and googling a bit gave us information that it was written by Niclas Molinder, Joacim Persson, Johan Alkenäs and Drew Ryan Scott and it's not surprising information as this great Swedish songwriting team (Niclas, Joacim and Johan) worked a lot for Disney channel last time. Some recent examples are songs for "Jonas L.A." series soundtrack ("L.A. Baby (Where Dreams Are Made Of)", "Critical", "Hey You", "Things Will Never Be The Same") - all of them sound not less than epic! Niclas and Johan were long-time well-known as TWIN recording many significant hits in Sweden (Velvet, Da Buzz, Danny, Darin, Helena Paparizou, Charlotte Perrelli) and though they weren't involved in some big releases in Sweden last few years but being joined by Johan they've gone more internationally with songs for world stars like Ashley Tisdale and Charice.
"Shake It Up" is another great pop-song with promisng electro intro growing into energetic pop-track with powerful rhythm blasting in anthemic double pop-chorus, it's like "My Life Would Suck Without You" mixed with "Firework" so check it and I bet you should love it.

Alex Sayz - United As One (video)

In June I told you about amazing collaboration between new Swedish club sensation Alex Sayz and sweet Sibel Redzep in new trance track "United As One". Finally we've got video treatment for this song. Probably best Sibel's video so far, very nice shot with loads of erotic scenes (yes, we have a week of erotic music videos started yesterday by Robyn) in slow motion, though water falling in slow motion is not the newest idea I still think that it's very beautiful and it works. However Alex and Sibel don't seem to have a wish to participate in all this love fest so they just have a dinner throwing food to each other with nothing but love in their eyes. And no, they're not gonna lick a cream from each other, they're just too hot to make it standard!

Sibel's covering modern classic

It's not secret, Sibel Redzep is the singer with one of the most beautiful and touching voices of country, pity that last time when we got her album was more than 2 years ago. However this year we've got whole 3 singles from her - her Melodifestivalen "Stop", duo with Lazee "The Fall" and with Alex Sayz "United As One" so obviously we can't complain but still our hunger for Sibel's stuff requires constant feeding! Great that we have Sibel's channel on youtube where she uploads her covers for some favorite hits. Should I say how gorgeous they are? No, I shouldn't because you should listen them yourselves!

Idol-2010 starts... NOW!

Already few minutes are left till the start of new seventh Swedish Idol season on tv4.se - one of the greatest Swedish music-show that already gave birth to loads of young stars like Agnes, Måns, Ola, EMD, Darin, Rebound and many-many others so probably already today you'll see some new artists who will be lighting up your music skies many years from now. Probably you won't understand it from the first audition but sometimes you see audition of young artist and realize that this star have come and gonna stay on the stage at least for years. I've chosen first auditions of some Idol-participants who has become very popular in last years and this is realy funny to see how much some of them has grown (like Darin, Gathania, Erik Segerstedt), others like Danny, Måns and Marie Picasso don't seem to change too much (though they were adorable from the start and it's not criminal at all). My personal Top-3 of the most impressive and touching auditions I have seen is - Darin, Anna Bergendahl and Sibel (in random order). But every of auditions below is worthy to watch - to look funny previous hair style of Erik Segerstedt, to see how Gathania decides to come with dance song because she thinks that to sing ballad on audition is dull and to convince yourself that Danny was actually always quite outgoing guy.

Sibel, Rebound and Kevin Borg in Fort Boyard

Idol's team consisting of winner-2008 Kevin Borg, Melodifestivalen-star Sibel Redzep and new public favorites Eddie Razaz and Rabih Jaber have taken part in new season of "Fångarna på Fortet" competing with team of Let's Dance show participants. Sure it was interesting to see these artists climbing the walls, guessing riddles and passing different challenges to earn enough of keys earlier than their rivals to get to a next level. Eddie Razaz was pure star of team winning two challenges (third was won by Kevin) but it wasn't enough and Let's Dance team continued the game without Idols. In next episodes you'll also be able to see other Swedish stars: Anna Book, Arash, Blossom Tainton-Lindquist (Afro-dite), Denise "DeDe" Lopez, Henrik Rongedal, Joacim Cans (HammerFall), Johan Palm, Jonas "Basshunter" Altberg, Pernilla Wahlgren, Regina Lund, Richard Herrey (Herreys), Sara Lumholdt (A-Teens) and Stefan Nykvist (Larz-Kristerz). Check episode with Idol's team rigth below.

Alex Sayz & The Girlz

Ladies and gentlemen I'd like to present you new face in Swedish club music - Alex Sayz. Alex is relatively not so long in a spot though, he was working on some mixes for Hani and Camilla Brinck and released few very nice original tracks - Fascination and Shame On Me. First one started rotating in some local dance charts and has got a good international responce, the second one was released in USA and even entered Billboard Dance Chart! But it was just a beginning and recently together with Evi (vocalist of Belgian band Lasgo) he recorded absolutely brilliant track "Hate To Love" that was noticed not only in Sweden but entered Top 10 Billboard Dance Airplay as well. So the hot question is do we have a deal with a new biggest dance export act of Sweden?

As a next step Alex is gonna release new trance-single "United As One" with vocals of our beloved Sibel Redzep already in July in USA and Scandinavia. Another great track from Mr. Sayz and all hopes and best wishes for the future of this collaboration.

Come closer cara cara mia...

Måns Petter Albert Zelmerlöw turns 24 and congratulations come to this young and talented guy today not only from us but from all over Scandinavia. Icelandic Friðrik Ómar Hjörleifsson's releasing his cover of the song that Måns has started his big career with 3 years ago and although we actually don't have idea why it's happened right before Måns' birthday let's think that Fridrik has made it in honour of Måns and this great song that has become legendary pop-anthem and pushed Måns to the highest star-level of Swedish music industry.

Short caramiastory. Måns Zelmerlöw appeared in front of big audience first time in 2005 participating in Swedish Idol together with Agnes, Sibel, Ola and Sebastian Karlsson, he finished 5th and started waiting for his time 2 years. Fredrik Kempe already well-known songwriter and artist has sent demo of the song "Cara Mia" co-written by Henrik Wilkström and recorded with Daniel Mitsogiannis vocals to Melodifestivalen-2007 and the song almost missed the contest as jury initially prefered Fronda's entry "Alla kan bli stjärnor" but Fronda didn't want to sing it himself and finally the song was pulled out and "Cara Mia" was taken instead, Måns was chosen to sing it.

How ironic that finally this song reached the top-3 of the final, has become second in public voting, #1 in singles-chart and big Eurovision fans favorite across Europe. Måns released one platinum and one golden album, successfully participated in Melodifestivalen one more time, even took part as a host of the show, met his pop-princess Marie Serneholt, so there's nothing to wish him today that he has not so let's just wish him to come back faster with new stuff and new #1 hits.

Sibel feat. Lazee - The Fall

Life and career were flowing in a full mode for young and beautiful Sibel Redzep last few years. After girl has appeared on Idol-2005 and almost reached the final but was beaten by Agnes and Sebastian Karlsson it took 3 years for her to come back and she did it on Melodifestivalen-2008 with her debut single "That is Where I'll Go" surprising everyone with her astonishing vocals, going directly to the final and releasing her Top-10 debut album "The Diving Belle" with some pretty cool singles and music videos like "Make Believe", "Walking Away" and "I'm Sorry" (best track of the album in my opinion). Sibel also has worked on backvocals for Ashley Tisdale's last album and was touring in China. In 3 years Sibel came back to Melodifestivalen with her new song "Stop" written by Mikaela Stenström and Dimitri Stassos, though it didn't go so well for her, that is a shame as Sibel's polished performance with this amazing track can be easily called real melo-classics. She also provided another demo "You're Making Me Hot-Hot-Hot" that qualified to the contest and was performed by Linda Pritchard but even with great performance didn't go well unfortunately. And now Sibel proudly presents brand new single "The Fall" featuring Lazee and produced by Novel who wrote "Straight Through My Heart" for Backstreet Boys and worked in team of RedOne on songs for Lady Gaga. You can actualy hear some touch of RedOne in this great party-track that shows new side of Sibel. Second Sibel's album that she was recording last two years is planned for August-September.
