Big start for another annual TV summer-event has happened today.
Måns Zelmerlöw opens new season of Allsång på Skansen with a bunch of popular artists - Agnes, Laleh, Markoolio, Sean Banan and Magnus Uggla were joined by E-Type and Edit Backlund to perform their own hits and folk's karaoke. The biggest performance of the concert for me personally was Agnes' "One Last Time". Girl has really given a lot of extra singing it live with a lot of heart and looking fierce. Banan was also on fire but he always is!

Some fresh, or to be more exact refreshed, music from E-Type who has made a big comeback on Swedish TV last autumn presenting a series of his covers on Så Mycket Bättre. They haven't become as big as Laleh's ones but still E-Type's fans have got a bit of everything from all Martin's music periods in this works and something to load pleayer with.
Before European Football Championship to be held this year in Ukraine E-Type brings back official anthem of championship in 2000 - "Campione" in a form of remake from Bassflow and RedTop. Basically this is not miles away from original version but has a properly updated dance production that absolutely can work in 2012. You can listen to a snippet of the single here.

Shirley Clamp is one amazingly entertaining schlager-lady filling every her single performance with loads of humour and light energy.
Few weeks ago she was participating in Doobidoo making Dee Demirbag in a company of Per Andersson (you may recognize him from this year's Melodifestivalen) in a role of E-Type. And that was really funny!

Today participants of Så mycket bättre were singing Eva Dahlgren's hits and once again we were more interested in E-Type's and Lena Ph's covers. Martin in a contrast to previous show has made a step from 90s classic eurodance sound to a dark aggressive electronic rocky pop when Lena has gone to a bit lighter electro-schlager-pop. Another cover we were absolutely delighted with was Laleh's cover of probably the biggest Eva's hit - "Ängeln i rummet" which has become a bit Coldplayesque with warm Christmas-feeling. Laleh's "Just Nu" already goes big on the radio and stays #1 on iTunes and new cover can easily become another sensation of this season.

New season of incredibly successful tv-show Så mycket bättre has started tonight.
This time we've got another solid bunch of artists - E-Type, Timbuktu, Laleh, Tomas Ledin, Mikael Wiehe, Eva Dahlgren and Lena Philipsson. E-Type and Lena Ph are the artists we're interested the most but we hope we'll get few more faves.
Artists were singing Tomas Ledin's songs this time. Lena Ph's performance was undoubtedly the most entertaining with loads of sexy poses and Lena filling every empty corner of a room with her passion. Though I'm a huge fan of E-Type, Martin was just too far from what was expected from him vocally but it was interesting to listen to his version of "Sommaren är kort", you should also check other covers below. Earlier this year we've got our beloved eurodance-star E-Type back 2 life with brand new single and bunch of enthusiastic plans regarding new stage of music career. Single was quite well commercially received and now video for the single "Back 2 Life" is out. Just like video for "Rain" released specially for UK it's a party video with loads of dancing girls, naked bodies and not so much of Martin, though maybe it's idea to hide Martin's age behind young girls we'd like to get more of Mr. E-Type's charisma and energy that (we know for sure) he has not less than 10 and 20 years ago. Still it's a good colourful party, quite qualitative to sneak into rotations of many European music channels and you're gonna enjoy it without any doubts.

We've started this week so nice with lip-synching but nice Roxette's performance in Germany so why not to continue with another one half-live visit outside but this time by E-Type.
In Autumn 2009 E-Type has become guest on big concert in Russia "Retro FM legends" every year collecting some stars from the past - local and international. In the end of year concert was shown on TV and we've just caught it. Yes, it's lip-synching but we don't complain as Martin always gives live for three vocal performers even without need to sing live for real.
You should also pay attention to girls - one of them is Play's Sanne and I'm gonna tell about other soon.

Before we got some video treatment for new E-Type's "Back 2 Life" single that was quite controversially met by fans who expected traditional E-Type's sound but has got very warm feedback from international pop-bloggers Universal celebrating release of new single today has made very nice party video-cut from E-Type's visit to Moscow.
It's nothing close to official but it's
1) funny
2) another chance to get a taste of new E-Type
3) even has Dr. Alban as guest of this video.

Last year two old friends Max Martin and Martin "E-Type" Eriksson decided that it's time for eurodance-machine E-Type to come back, from the very beginning of E-Type's career they've made so many breakthroughs together and it was turn of another one!
Previous E-Type's album wasn't as grand in export as some old ones and it was a sign that team needs to change some formulas to bring E-Type back to the world for real and Max Martin who delivered some latest stunning dance anthems like "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love", "Hold It Against Me", "Time Machine", "Dynamite" knew what they need so policy of E-Type's comeback was to get rid of rap, church choruses and to lower bpm. In company with Shellback and Savan Kotecha new single was finished, packed and will be officialy delivered on Monday but as it's already has leaked we give you first listen immediately!
As it was promised "Back 2 Life" is quite far from classic E-Type's sound, it's not blasting straight to your ears with all power of E-Type's female vocalists but brings all joy and energy of modernized eurodance more delicate way. It's like a mix of Taio Cruz, Ke$ha and latest dance singles of Britney and Rihanna. Probably it's not what you expected but please don't judge fast, Max Martin knows what he does and maybe this is a sound that will put E-Type on a top of world dance-music again.

Usually I don't post new articles just because of new singles covers but my excitement over this release is too big not to follow every step of its arrival.
So here we get title and cover of brand new single from eurodance-king E-Type - "Back 2 Life"!!!
According to www.etype.nl new single will be presented on iTunes and Spotify of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark soon with a later turn of other countries. No physical release of single planned but...oh my God! Just give us a first listen faster!

Update 2: 3 days before release! Popdrömmen reports that new E-Type's single sounds nothing like classic E-Type but more like mix of Taio Cruz and David Guetta!
Update 3: IT'S HERE!!!

Can there be anything more exciting than return of eurodance king Martin "E-Type" Eriksson with brand new single produced by not less than Max Martin who worked with E-Type on his biggest smash-hits?
In his blog this Autumn E-Type told that last summer he has recorded the song with working title "Eira's Song" (as the name of his new dog, but final title of the song will be another) borrowing Max Martin's studio and then Max Martin with John Shellback called him and asked him to come with all the stuff for the song and when E-Type has listened his re-produced song he's got goosebumps and promises great party song with recognizable E-Type sound but brand new, simple and crazy fun goodfeeling song. Song was initially planned to be released in the very beginning of the year but problems with E-Type's absence of contract has lead to delay. Now it's fine and single is to come very soon!
Martin also works on another new track with "girl who beat him out of the Eurovision song contest a few years ago" - obviously Sibel who has beaten him with The Poodles out in Second Chance of Melodifestivalen-2008. Sibel as great vocalist can sound awesome on dance record so I think it wouldn't be bad at all to get her as constant E-Type's vocalist if there's no chance to get back Sanne Karlsson who's currently involved in Play.
