Swedish~ Stereo~

David Lingren's single "Shout It Out" has become another platinum hit of Melodifestivalen-2012 according to his Facebook page. Later I'll do the annual table of MF-singles sales success as "Euphoria" is still Top-40 but it won't be there "forever till the end of time".
The singer works on some secret stuff and rumoured as a possibly coming back to Melodifestivalen next year. We'll know it very soon but for now we can enjoy another song "Perfect Crime" (wriiten by Tony Nilsson and Fernando Fuentes - the same duo behind "SHout It Out") from his debut album David has recently presented on SVT.

One good friend of mine has recently given me a tip that I find quite interesting to share.
Tony Nilsson isn't unknown name for Swedish pop-fans - "Natalie", "The Queen", "Headlines" "Lovekiller", "Hit The Lights", "Like Suicide"... For the last five years Tony had a lot of big hits and his latest "Shout It Out" for David Lindgren is one of the few Melodifestivalen-2012 survivors still holding position in singles chart.
Probably you heard a sneak peak of Tony's solo-career with pre-Ola version of "Natalie" but I suppose you didn't know about Tony's The FullRange Project he had a single "Electric Boogie Nightz" and even a video out with back in 2004. Anyway here it is sounding pretty Ola meets Secret Service. It doesn't have the level of Tony's latest pop-masterpieces but it's good and after all it's interesting to check the stuff some established artists and songwriters have grown from.

Some releases are just too good and too Swedish-related to keep them away from our blog and if it's not some new Max Martin penned Britney's single that you can read about anywhere but still utterly pop-delicious, here we are!
American artist Jeff Marino a.k.a. Qpid, ex-half of duo QWAN, starts solo-career and make a wise step coming to Sweden to work with local songwriters on his new stuff.
His first single "Under the Radar" is written by not less than Tony Nilsson, Darin and Teddy Sky (RedOne's collaborator on latest JLo's album) and produced in RedOne’s Cosmos Studios by Tony. You can't directly recognize any of these people if I'd ask you but it's a stunning dance track with clearly felt Swedish influences.
Can we expect something like this from Darin's comeback? I really hope so!

To our crazy happiness Sheelah girls keep working with one of our most beloved Swedish songwriters - Tony Nilsson on some new stuff and though next singles are just to be planned we get video for the latest single "The Last Time" already conquering local radiostations all over Europe so don't forget to check yours, maybe they already have it in playlist.
Few days ago girls have presented video for "The Last Time" - nice black and white documentary with girls walking around the city, recording in studio and having fun - not pretending to something new or original, just sweet video-cut with sweet girls from Sheelah and good chance to remember what a great track it is.

Ola Svensson's coming back from the... no, not death, Ola's definitely not that unstoppable Natalie, he's more alive than anyone and he never stops to prove it. Today Ola's releasing his second single "Overdrive" from his forthcoming album. Ola has already managed to release 2 albums after his participation in Idol-2005 and 5 (!!!) singles #1, will this one become his 6th #1 single? Herr Svensson has made his first solo-step back in 2006 when he gave his fans right of choice between songs "How We Do It" and Anthony Calleas' cover "Rain", fans chose "Rain" and the single debuted on the 1st place of Swedish chart and kept there 3 weeks, next single "Brothers" became another Top-10 hit (#4) and debut album "Given To Fly" just like debut single started from the 1st place of Swedish albums-chart. Ola decided not to make a big break after first album and together with producer Tony Nilsson they record new #1 single "Natalie" - one of the biggest hits of 2007, followed up by another hit "S.O.S." and new album "Good Enough". In 2008 Ola took participation in Melodifestivalen with another Tony Nilsson's song "Love In Stereo", unfortunately he didn't reach the final but it became huge summer-hit again together with next single "FeelGood", both were included in re-edition of Ola's second album. Year before Ola came back releasing new track "Sky's The Limit", soundtrack "Play Me" for Finno-Swedish musical "Play Me". and being announced as official participant of Melodifestivalen-2010 with the song "Unstoppable" written by Dimitri Stassos, Alexander Kronlund and Hanif Sabzevari. This time Ola has reached the final and although didn't win the contest it has become huge radio-hit and another #1 single. Ola never makes his fans waiting too long and his new hits are on the way.
"Overdrive" is nice summer track with acoustic calm sound and warm feeling, not that powerful disco-schlager-track that you could expect from Ola but all who will buy this single won't be disappointed as it includes few other tracks and all of them sound different and can satisfy any expectation, "All Over The World" that you can check on Poster Girl blog sounds like a big radio hit mixing some brilliant moments of "Release Me" and "If I Had You", another new track "Still Remember" sounds like another well-produced pop-track with a bit of electro-sound that's gonna make all Ola's fans waiting for a new album even more. EP contains also Benji Of Sweden remix of "Unstoppable".

Seems like year before Swedish pop-princess Marie Serneholt asked to disconnect and un-attach her too realistically as Swedish audience understood it literally. Marie (ex-A-Teens, independent solo singer with amazing Top-10 debut album "Enjoy The Ride" that you need to listen right now if you didn't manage before and girl of Måns Zelmerlöw that you can see in post below) has made comeback with song "Disconnect Me" written by Peter Boström & Tony Nilsson for Melodifestivalen-2009. Though she entered as joker (special participant with the biggest attention to her and impressive backgound) she finished 6th in semifinal and single has peaked only on 46th place of Swedish chart, beautiful video also didn't help. After it comeback of Marie as pop-singer was hidden from public (though she told about new songs written with Tony Nilsson) and girl decided to try some new directions - she became SVT's Eurovision staff expert in show “Inför ESC 2010″, was a host of Swedish National Day and has made debut as artist in musical "Grease" along with Sebastian Karlsson (Idol-2005). Due to rumours she rejected offered song "Spinning" that was released in the end of last year by Gathania and currently "Disconnect Me" is promoted in the mix of Oscar Holter in Russia. But we're still waiting for your new stuff, Marie!!!
