Eddie Razaz - You

Eddie Razaz keeps teasing us with upcoming music stuff he prepares with some big names of Swedish pop and now we've even got exciting news about Darin being involved in writing new Eddie's track "Let Me In". Can it be not exciting?
However this time we've got something real to feel vibes of Eddie's upcoming music - new track "You" produced by Pitchtunes and if you've especially fallen for Eddie's dance-side during his short but loud career in Rebound you're not gonna be disappointed as "You" sounds quite Rebound style with less r'n'b influences, delicious dance production and big catchy chorus melodically slightly breathing with 90s smash-trend that undoubtedly is going to work in a pack with modern electronic arrangement and Eddie's special vocal nowadays. Quite awesome sneak peek before official new releases to follow very soon!

Schlager-excitement - 2012

Every year since September we get a lot of schlager-rumors getting wild flowing around and collecting the most pop-actual artists into speculations lists of Aftonbladet and Expressen. As you understand loads of these rumours never happen but at the same time we get a solid bunch of artists which are later officially confirmed so at least half of final list is already expected.
We didn't get speculations season started quite long this year though (except previously discussed Nina Söderquist, Lili & Susie, Timoteij and H.e.a.t. with Erik Grönwall) but today Aftonbladet has revealed utterly exciting list of artists willing to participate in Melodifestivalen-2012.
- Charlotte Perrelli is eager to come back to the contest working this year with her previous Melodifestivalen-winning entry "Hero" songwriter Fredrik Kempe.
- Helena Paparizou who was haunted by Christer Björkman many years has finally sent few songs.
- E.M.D.'s Erik Segerstedt and Mattias Andréasson have sent solo-songs, it's not clear if Danny wants though. Seems like he didn't send any songs himself but doesn't mind to participate if he'll be invited by SVT.
- Rebound's Eddie Razaz and Rabih Jaber are also eager to participate solo and both have sent songs.
- Magnus Carlsson who sent entries recent years without any luck was working this time with new songwriter supposedly on Melodifestivalen-stuff.
- Another Alcazar-member Lina Hedlund was looking for songs to partiipate in Melodifestivalen with while band is on a hold since this summer.
- Martin Rolinski who was ready to partiipate in MF-2011 has refused when Christer Björkman wished him to change the song, it has opened a spot for Anders Fernette, now Martin is ready for comeback.
- Few songwriters have written songs for Ace Of Base's Jenny Berggren this year.
- Molly Sandén is looking for the right song to make comeback.
- September's participance is quite possible but depends on if her new material will succeed in USA as it's more important goal for her to work on.

Eddie Razaz - Criminal

Sometimes we're wondering why so many talented artists from Sweden disappear for years while they're working on their new stuff or on the way to get signed by label. It's not gonna be so difficult to grab your friends musicians, switch camera or just take microphone and record some cover sharing pieces of your talent at least just for fun and for people waiting for your new music.
Thanks God we still have our fave talents who give us some music snack in a wait of new releases. This time I'm talking about Eddie Razaz who currently records his solo-stuff (you can check him in a studio with K-One to convince yourself it's true) and who has made a cover of Max Martin penned track "Criminal" from the latest Britney Spears' album "Femme Fatale".
The result has become unexpectedly great - it wasn't one of our faves on the album but with Eddie's beautiful tender voice we've rediscovered it and keep listening to second day, this guy has so damn huge commercial potential and we can't wait when he will unlock it with his own songs.

Rebound is gone, Eddie and Rabih are back!

Relatively young pop-project Rebound consisting of our beloved ex-Idols Eddie Razaz and Rabih Jaber we were following whole year has unexpectedly announced its official split-up. Sure we were completely shocked by this news after watching Rebound's performance in front of a crowd of screaming fans this March and we think lack of the interest absolutely couldn't be the reason of this decision.
However right after break-up Eddie and Rabih have started working on their solo-career. Eddie has revealed on his twitter that he's recording new songs with Moh Denebi (Loreen, Måns Zelmerlöw, Jessica Folcker), Pitchtunes (Hani, Mary N'Diaye), Christian Fast (Jeanette) and Henrik Nordenback (Di Leva, Anna Stadling) and Rabih is going to release his solo-single "Millionaire" in a few weeks with video already shot and more than promising small piece of the track already leaked. "Millionaire" is the result of his work with music producer Rabaan releasing his dance EP "One Of A Kind" on July 4th and vocal duty for one of the songs "Where Are You" was delivered by Rabih, you can check the piece of this lovely dance-track below and all the rest of samples on Raaban's soundcloud channel.

Eddie Razaz sings Britney

Last week Stockholm celebrated new Britney Spears' album with release-fest and performance of main Swedish star-fan of Britney, there are actually two as I know - Sibel and Eddie Razaz (you could even watch Eddie on Idol auditions singing Britney's "Oops!...I Did It Again") so amazing Eddie was there to make really nice acoustic cover-performance with some big Britney's hits. As I wrote in my melotrip report I was lucky enough to meet Eddie and Rabih and to convince myself what a pleasant guys they are in life. Rebound have revealed that now their next aim is release of debut album and have performed their last single "Psycho", you can watch piece of it recorded by me below. As well don't forget to check beautiful new Rabih's cover of "The way you are".

Eddie Razaz - Safe

Soon we're gonna get brand new video for Rebound's next single "Psycho" that they shoot with Mikeadelika but for now we're staying with just two band's singles and we have nothing to do but discovering some unreleased pieces of their music.
Yesterday demo-record titled "Safe" sung by Eddie Razaz and written and produced among others by Chris Antblad (Sibel, Anders Ekborg, Larz Kristerz, Molly Sandén) has leaked on youtube and surprisingly though it's just a demo it sounds quite prepared and could easily be released on Rebound's album.
"Safe" is very calm minimalistic song in Bubbly-style with careless atmosphere where you don't really feel need in anything but synth, beats and Eddie's voice, very relaxing and enjoyable track.

Rebound! - Not Helpless

Update 12.08.2010 - Check "Not Helpless" here.

Not so much time passed since last season of Swedish Idol but after successful debut albums of the winner Erik Grönwall and runner-up Calle Kristiansson Sweden gets new Idol-stars. Two friends Eddie Razaz and Rabih Jaber from Idol-2009 decided to join forces in effort to reach success and called themselves Rebound! First single "Hurricane" has attracted a lot of public attention and even more after Eddie's come-out in local gay-magazine QX. Last weeek single has become #1 in Sweden and next single "Not Helpless" is on the way to be released later this year. Guys already perform it live and it's not less great work with catchy chorus and modern electro-pop-r'n'b sound that's gonna become another step to strengthen Rebound in a status of new-born stars in Swedish music.
