Loreen - Heal

Though earlier it was announced that Loreen's new single "Crying Out Your Name" will be out on Monday it was already presented on Spotify and you can check it below.
The song as it was revealed before sounds in a style of previous singles (melodically probably closer to "My Heart Is Refusing Me") but while it's growing in verses and you expect tune to go dance in chorus there comes a big live drums section (I guess this is what Loreen meant when she said it's inspiring by garage style). Really worthy follow-up though it's difficult to compete with "Euphoria".
But even bigger Loreen's news of this weekend is that snippets of her debut album "Heal" are unveiled (thanks for the tip to Olivier) and you can listen to them here!
The most precious thing about the album is that it has become quite holistic magic work with Loreen's voice wrapping the whole album in a hypnotic bubble of dark electronic ballads like "Everytime" and "Do We Even Matter" and dance-tracks rolling around Loreen's original way of bringing up dance and drama (not attached to the same formulas but glued really well by Loreen's wonderful voice). I understand solution of label to release "MHIRM" in remixed version, it fits the common direction of the album much better but including "Sober" in remix-version seems weird to me, track in its version loses its personality and steals another hit from the album. I also do hope that "See You Again" will become the next international hit, I believe this lighter side of Loreen also having international radio-friendly production is right what singer's career ouside of Sweden needs.

Loreen - My Heart Is Refusing Me (new version)

Bunch of new stuff from Loreen will arrive on Monday. The artist will release both international single - new version of "My Heart Is Refusing Me" and Swedish single "Crying Out Your Name" which is gonna be another big dance-anthem in a classic Loreen style of previous singles according to Popdrömmen.
New version "My Heart Is Refusing Me" was already premiered while ago in Finland so basically you should understand how it has got a more remix-feeling (probably closer to "Sober" but dancier) and now you can have a listen of it in a studio-version leaked on Youtube.

Loreen - My Heart Is Refusing Me (version 2.0)

The first foreign country to accept Loreen with all the love most of European countries has given to her later was Finland. And Loreen has paid back performing her second international single there tonight.
But the sad thing for her international fans is that according to Warner Finland press-info released earlier today this single is..."My Heart Is Refusing Me" in updated version.
Really wrong step in my opinion, I always loved MHIRM and still do but the song following 2010 dance trends is not looking like a big potential hit in the end of 2012 and why wasn't it promoted whole summer during Loreen's promotional gigs abroad in this case? I think "Sober" would be much better option and hope the album to be out very soon will include some worthy "Euphoria" follow-up to warm-up singer's radio-glory. And anyway I wish a big luck to this new life of "My Heart Is Refusing Me".

Loreen doing MTV World Stage (TV-quality)

This June Loreen has taken part in MTV World Stage concert in Göteborg making epic performance that we could only check by videos made from audience.
Now TV-footage is out and this is absolutely worthy watching. And re-watching. And re-watching again!

Loreen at MTV World Stage

Loreen has become a real fierce of MTV World Stage festival held last week in Göteborg. And like a proper upcoming European star she has made performances of all her songs anything but ordinary, all three released hits "My Heart Is Refusing Me", "Sober" and "Euphoria" were performed in special versions. "Euphoria" has got a big drums intro and was finished as a hard electro-mix. "Sober" has turned to an utterly dramatic pop-rock song and "MHIRM" was presented in live-session dreamy version.
All we have is videos recorded by public so I could only choose videos of the most appropriate quality of what we have. But it's still worth watching or at least listening.
The event is said to be aired on MTV internationally later this year but I can't find official information when.

Loreen at Mix Megapol Unplugged

Eurovision rehearsals start already this week in Baku and very soon Loreen will leave Sweden to take part in a big Eurovision carousel. Currently she is the biggest favorite by odds and different polls, she has managed to enter tops of many iTunes charts around Europe so Sweden definitely has the biggest winning chance in years.
I'd like to share very beautiful acoustic gig Loreen has made at Mix Megapol Unplugged, she has performed acoustic versions of "Jöga", "She's The One", "My heart Is Refusing Me" and "Euphoria". You've heard the most of these versions previously but they haven't become any less enjoyable.

Loreen at Earth Hour

Yesterday Loreen performed at Earth Hour, worldwide event you can't miss wherever you live these days.
Loreen was singing acoustic version of "Euphoria" and "My Heart Is Refusing Me", I already wrote about acoustic version of "Euphoria" but this time it sounded even more touching and power of Loreen's voice just didn't know limits.
Danny and Sarah Dawn Finer were among other performing artists but their videos haven't leaked yet.

Loreen - She's The One

We start a season of haunting for a new Loreen's track "She's The One" that was one of options to be released after "My Heart Is Refusing Me" but finally they've chosen "Sober" and we think it was right though "She's The One" sounds quite promising.
Recently Loreen has performed new track during live set in Stockholm trade center Gallerian and below you can check the result. I've got a feeling keyboard-player had really hard times with untuned sound, so you should understand that it's just a rough sneak peek of the song that can finally become pretty different in studio version but currently seems to be in a trend of Loreen's dance music with its ragged club-synths, expressive vocals, delicious strings and this time lighter, less dramatic melody line.
You should check full performance though as two other songs - acoustic "My Heart Is Refusing Me" and awesome intimate version of "Sober" with synths sounding very beautiful were just perfect!

Loreen's heart is still refusing her - in chill and dance

This week Loreen's fantastic single "My Heart Is Refusing Me" has become one of last three Melodifestivalen singles left in Swedish chart - with "Popular" and "Me And My Drum". Song is still growing as radio-hit and you can already find The Attic's mix of the song sneaking into radio-charts of Russia, we could also notice it in Norwegian iTunes-chart and taken as hit-warning at Rix FM in Sweden. Label is currently giving new push to this single with pack of new mixes - Anders Nyman dance mixes and whole 3 acoustic versions. Due to samples we're mostly intrigued in electro acoustic version but we can already listen to dance mix (which is really strong clubfiller) and light acoustic version (which is loads of crazy goosebumps indeed) and our heart is accepting both completely!

And don't forget to check this magic live version of the song that I didn't present here before but which is just mesmerizing!

My heart is remixing me!

This year we give victory in nomination Best Melodifestivalen remixes pack to... Loreen with mixes to her single "My Heart Is Refusing Me"! It's fine that it was delivered with a small delay, result has become worthy waiting. Three brilliant mixes - dark house-mix from Ali Payami, beautiful trance-mix from Michael Feiner & Eric Amarillo (The Attic) and club stomper from PJ Harmony. Our fave here is The Attic's mix with dreamy piano-keys switching to powerful dancefloor killer track that we've completely fallen for last weeekend in Stockholm.
I also recommend you to check very interesting Loreen's interview taken during Schlagerfiasko's melotrip, in this interview Loreen revealed that "Sober" that was earlier announced as next single can be replaced by another track "If She's The One". We don't care about choise actually because any new step of Loreen's career is gonna be exciting, inspiring and not less than amazing!

Loreen's performance in XL Live

One of our biggest favorites of Melodifestivalen-2011 Loreen has visited studio of XL Live to perform her Melodifestivalen-hit "My Heart Is Refusing Me" with one of her songwriters Moh Denebi in acoustic and to prove one more time what a brilliant singer she is! Tones of broken feelings in every sound and every key especially touching with nothing but guitar and beautiful Loreen's voice. Another performed song was forthcoming single "Sober". Loreen will compete this Saturday in Second Chance round of Melodifestivalen and currently she's the most successful participant of Second Chance on iTunes staying #5 so we really hope she has a big chance to break through to the final.
