Tomas Ledin & Eagle-Eye Cherry - As One
Friends Arena opening has definitely become a really special event in Stockholm's life. If you've missed or couldn't watch the show you can enjoy it here.
Two of well-known Swedish artists have come up with a song specially written for stadium's opening and it was Tomas Ledin and Eagle-Eye Cherry who have performed new single "As One" recorded with Anders Hansson and Sharon Vaughn.
This is a big arena song with a nice marching intro and warm atmosphere of Hagsätra Sport's Olympic track but with more anthemic production.

Eagle-Eye Cherry - Can't Get Enough
Five years have passed since the last Eagle-Eye Cherry's album "Live and Kicking" and this autumn the singer is coming back with a new record "Can't Get Enough" which is already out. Below you can check the sampler of this nice pop-rock collection with a pop-component definitely being dominant.
You also shouldn't consider the first single "Can't Get Enough" as the album's common trend but this is a sweet track that I would compare with some old Smash Mouth's songs, kind, summerish, sing-along and has already got the video premiered.

E.M.D. - Save Tonight (video)

Last Top-5 single of E.M.D. is getting video treatment.
Popular boy-band released their first single from forthcoming album "Rewind" back in May and now when single has fallen out of chart last week band attempted to give it a little more promotion with video showing process of recording new stuff in the studio along with more acoustic and minimal but still very charming arrangement of this song. You could actually watch this shooting in trailer that was presented little earlier.
As I told before E.M.D.'s album will be released on August 25th and will be a tribute to some great hits of 90s. And you can watch video for "Save Tonight" here.

Sounds from Kungsträdgården

Fantastic celebration of live Swedish music called LOVE Stockholm 2010 is unfortunately over leaving to us loads of impressions and memories of some amazing performances and great gigs but yesterday audience in Kungsträdgården still could enjoy the rest of them.
You could see Ola Svensson performing his huge Spring hit "Unstoppable", Caroline af Ugglas with her choir, Linda Sundblad with new single "Making Out" (one of undoubtfully best pieces of her last album), Eagle-Eye Cherry with his biggest international hit "Save Tonight" recently covered by E.M.D., Thomas di Leva with his old song "Vi har bara varandra", Anna Maria Espinosa performing her own song "A Little Moonlight" and duet together with Niklas Strömstedt - his "En Kvinna Och En Man" (most amazing part of this performance was King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf dancing near the stage) and some foreign guests like Jasmine Kara and Carpark North.
Caroline Af Ugglas - Vi Bär Upp Varandra
Anna Maria Espinosa - A Little Moonlight
Carpark North - Just Human
Jasmine Kara framför - In the basement
Di Leva - Vi har Bara Varandra
You should also check another recent concert in Kungsträdgården with Style performing their last single "LoveKiller" and classic hit "Vill Ha Dej", Broken Door with both their songs "Angel" and "Sunday Morning", Orup and the most interesting performance of Gravitonas. It was the first live performance of this utterly exciting new project of Alexander Bard with debut single "Kites" currently climbing dance charts of Sweden and new song "Shameless" that showed new side of the project. Initially Alexander announced the project as electro-rock band, however "Kites" turned to be more in synth-pop direction and "Shameless" definitely shows better what he meant, it's a catchy and full of drive pop-rock song with nicely developed rhythmic verses containing light synth-keys on background reminding some beautiful moments in music of BWO and guitar-driven catchy chorus that gets stuck in your head immediately. This is the level of quality that made previous Alexander's projects icons in Swedish music and that's gonna make Gravitonas continue this trend in a very close future.

E.M.D. - Save Tonight

Due to information from tv4.se popular boy band E.M.D. consisting of 3 ex-Idol participants - Erik Segerstedt, Mattias Andréasson and Danny Saucedo soon releases second album that's gonna be a tribute to hits of 90s. I should mention that band's life lasts not much more than 2 years but guys has already managed to make 4 #1 singles (+ one #3 and one #22) and #1 album (+ another Christmas album). Was it good idea to make covers-album? You can already judge yourself. First single from album is real classics of Swedish pop - Eagle-Eye Cherry's debut single "Save Tonight" from 1997, world-wide hit that reached #6 in UK chart and #5 of US chart. Cover turned to be incredibly nice and pleasant ballad with very beautiful instrumental part. You can listen to it right now.
