Viktorious - Unrequited Love

Today I'd like to give a tip about one of undoubtfully best tunes of this year that surpisingly hasn't got any proper release.
I'm talking about one of Viktorious' tracks - "Unrequited Love" presented during Viktorious weekends company earlier this spring.
Awesome disco-track sampling Yazoo's "Don't Go" has turned to pop-goodies we absolutely didn't expect from Sugarplum Fairy star if you asked us about like year ago.
Track wasn't included to "Best of Viktorious Weekends" compilation but we still enjoy it a lot with some other songs we'll probably tell you about later waiting for Viktorious' new stuff.

Summer with Viktorious

Viktorious is back from summer holidays with a bunch of new creative ideas and series of music videos presenting songs from his recently released EP "Best Of Viktorious Weekends" that is still one of the most interesting Swedish releases of this year in our list.
We're gonna tell you later about some amazing Viktorious's tracks we've missed here on blog and now you can check "Scandalous" summer cut and acoustic "Killing The Fun" video made with participance of Sugarplum Fairy/Le Kid Jonas. It's just a first of five Viktorious weekdays summer sessions, more to come here.

Viktorious - Scandalous

Do you remeber last year's arrival of Viktorious as misterious figure with glam attitude singing about how scandalous he is? If you don't, you can check it in trailer below with snippet of the song "Scandalous" - new Viktorious' present to his fans as part of Viktorious weekends I told you about before.
"Scandalous" turned to be quite intriguing track not failing expectations afterwards and sounding probably like Nine Inch Nails deciding to make commercial pop with heavy synth-production and pretty catchy lyrics "...everybody wanna be Lady Gaga looking twenty in fifty like Madonna...". Really hope song will be next single as it has all hit-signs to me. You can download it here completely for free.

Viktorious - Instant Virtuality

Good news for everyone who's managed to fall fo fresh and amazing artist Viktorious! From now during 7 weeks he'll be making every weekend a bit happier for you with presentation of his new song that you'll be able to download absolutely for free (just for posting notification on your Facebook wall).
First presented track is "Instant Virtuality" - loud energetic pop-rock song sounding like colourful tv-advert soundtrack, for now it's hard to say how recognizable it is for Viktorious, he's just forming his musical image but it's pretty different from what we've heard from him before and it's great he provides this diversity.
After all tracks will be presented Viktorious will release EP "Best Of Viktorious Weekends" with all songs and will go out on tour.
You can download "Instant Virtuality" here and check new small rehearsal video below.

Viktorious in Nyhetsmorgon

Relatively new-born solo-artist Viktorious who has made quite loud debut with first single "When We Were 10" last year keeps presenting new stuff and today he has appeared in Nyhetsmorgon show to sing his for now the only single and completely new "Stay Now" - another great song starting as synth-track but then massively turning to rockier sound with powerful drums-part and guitars in epic chorus, another nice and catchy tune that's gonna be more tasty in studio but we already like it.
Oh, and guitar pre-bridge part is pretty cool too!

Viktorious - When We Were 10 (video)

Viktorious premieres his first video for debut single "When We Were 10" and happily it's using those shots used in teaser presented earlier with some impressive images and though teaser looked more concentrated around tortured in some really original ways Viktor with a very toxic look here he's shooting all around with every bright image director's imagination is able for. The song was already mentioned by Popjustice and hopefully can become noteable hit outside of Sweden, finally it has everything - beautiful and catchy melody, fresh synthpop sound combined with some accessible pop-rock elements and Viktor's voice feels like international class so why not?
You can also check video from his release-fest, it's using studio version of "When We Were 10" with video of Viktor's performance but it's still interesting. Due to those who visited this event people say that Viktorious played 5 songs from upcoming album "I am Hope" and in common they sound in a style of the first single, that seems like really promising news!
Few days ago Viktorious performed as opening act for Adam Lambert's concert in Stockholm.

Viktorious - When We Were 10

Few weeks ago I told you about exciting solo-debut of Sugarplum Fairy brother Viktor as Viktorious, then I supposed that soundtrack to his impressive teaser is going to become his first single but I was wrong as the real debut single is right here below, different song but not disappointing at all!
"When We Were 10" turned to be quite amazing mix of indie-pop (Viktor couldn't leave his roots completely) with a massive electro-sound and quite poppy melody, whole thing sounds very internationally, I'd say it's like Killers going Pet Shop Boys. Very tasty track having huge potential to become this season hit. Photo for cover of the single is done by Mattias Lindblom (Vacuum) and it's not the last Vacuum credits for forthcoming Viktorious album - they've written and produced two songs together with Viktor (not confirmed if "When We Were 10" is one of them though).

Sugarplum brothers are back solo

Pop-rock-band Sugarplum Fairy appeared back in 2004 with leaders Victor and Carl Norén who turned to be brothers of singer Gustaf Norén of already established then Mando Diao. Band has made a blast from the very first steps. Melodic brit-pop singles like "Stay Young" and "Sweet Jackie" put them on the spot not only in Sweden but internationally as well. So along with constantly promoted and relatively successful music in Sweden they worked on their career in Germany and Japan. Single "The Escapologist" could be seen on many music channels around Europe. After a band have taken pause year before we're getting both Norén brothers back solo in approximately the same time.
Firstly Carl Norén premiered his new single "The Anger" presented his music as more melancholic and thoughtful than probably would be expected by Sugarplum Fairy fans.
In a few days another brother - Viсtor will perform his own single "When We Were 10" under a new name Viktorious and it's something completely different but very exciting as due to trailer his new music promises to be impressive electro-pop debut with extravagant and controversial image of the artist so we carefully keep our hand on a pulse of both projects.
