Hooray!!! Lotta på Liseberg is officially back-back-BACK!!!
What does it mean? It means that we're gonna get weekly dose of our beloved artists open air in Liseberg.
First ones were Di Leva and Lisa Miskovsky with their Melodifestivalen-2012 hits, Lill-Babs with a good old schlager "Jag vill leva" and Danish guest Rasmus Seebach with our most beloved song "Sirenerne" out of his latest stuff.

Annual Idrottsgalan is back with a bunch of some top-artist who were with us during last year and seems like are going to be next year too.
We've got big voice trio of Sonja Aldén, Linda Pritchard and Anna Sahlene with "Higher & Higher", Lisa Miskovsky who sounded...hm, pretty unusual in Sting's "Fields of Gold" (but it was pretty emotional performance in memory of some Swedish sportsmen who died in 2011), Markoolio with his own song "In med bollen" and company of Lili and Susie, Hammerfall with Judas Priest's "Breaking the Law" (they're doing pretty loads of TV lately, are we gonna get them on MF soon?), Louise Hoffsten with her own old song "Let the best man win" and The Clash's "London Calling" performed by Nicke Borg who has become much more actively interacting with audience since last spring. Thanks for the tip about event to Schlagerfiasko that you absolutely must follow when ESC-season is at full speed.

Taking part in shooting for charity calendars has become an amazing tradition among Swedish musicians.
Last year I told you about Caroline Roosmark's calendar. If you haven't heard about it - it's made for charity collecting some biggest Swedish celebritites who participate for free. This year all income will be aimed to help children living in families with the only one parent and low budget. We've got not so many pop-artists - it was only Sanna Nielsen, Ulrik Munther and Marie Fredriksson this year but their images have become as impressive as we use to see in Caroline's works. Monday morning is a great time to start week with some good live performances and I have something to show you right for this case!
Fund Rosa Bandet fighting with breast cancer has arranged its annual concert last week this time involving some real pop-veterans.
Lisa Miskovsky preparing her new album "Violent sky" that's going to be out very soon performed her first single "Lover" from it. Legendary singer Helen Sjöholm premiered her single "Kvinnan För Dig" - cover of Billy Joel's "She's Always A Woman" with Swedish lyrics by Tomas Andersson Wij, this song is from forthcoming Helen's tribute album "Euforia - Helen Sjöholm sjunger Billy Joel". Peter Jöback is also ready for new release of his live-album "En kväll med Peter Jöback" that will include his latest single "Inte redo än" so this song was also performed during concert. And the last performance was by Bo Kaspers Orkester who's just released album "New Orleans" but were singing their old song "Ett Ögonblick I Sänder".

When I've heard that Lisa Miskovsky makes new album with Björn Yttling (Peter Björn & John, Sahara Hotnights, Primal Scream, etc.) firstly I was afraid she's gonna go back to calm acoustic roots that previously I couldn't fall for and after her amazing single "Still Alive" written with Rami and Arnthor Birgisson I refused to get something less interesting but my fears turned to be in vain as new Lisa's single sounds really impressive!
First single "Lover" from album "Violent Sky" (coming out on November 26) is planned for release already on September 27. It's very original track with heavily recognizable Lisa's music but huge hit potential mixing massive computer base and low sounding Lisa's vocal in verses blossoming in huge happy chorus with light gospel touch (probbaly it's choir that makes me think so).
Right after this I've checked previous Lisa's albums and found that I was actually quite wrong about them and they're full of quite different and original stuff, Sweden has a lot of indie-singers but seems like Lisa's on the top in mixing pop and indie in such original and nice way with very delicate taste. "Driving One Of Your Cars" (along with "Stay Alive") still stays my all-time favorite but I'm sure Lisa has a lot of surprises and new hits on her forthcoming album and you can already listen first one here.
