Hard times of Idol winners

Times use to be really hard for Idol-winners in a search of their unique music path few years after their victories. Seems like Agnes is still the only ex-Idol winner who manages to keep releasing new hits without big breaks between albums.
Markus Fagervall who has won Idol year after Agnes currently lives in trailer to take courses of cooking in Umeå that has recently caused a big buzz in media. After breaking up with a girl few years ago he has also lost inspiration in music, travelling three months in Asia, playing music on the streets of Paris - nothing has helped him so Markus is still in a crisis and we hope he'll find a way out soon, he's able to write quite solid pop-rock stuff like for example "For Once" from his debut album that is still one of our favorite songs.
Another Idol winner Daniel Lindström from the first season currently works on bringing his career back with a recent single "I Know Nothing" he has performed live on Bingolotto recently. You can now check it below with his another old song "Still Holding On".

Daniel Lindström - I Know Nothing

Just a few days ago we've got incredibly sad information that Lovestoned - band that gave us one of our favorite Swedish pop-albums of 2010 has split up half a year ago. And now first Idol season's winner Daniel Lindström comes back with his own version of Lovestoned's track "I Know Nothing" that was actually written by Daniel with Fredrik Larsson and Stephen Simmonds and never was released by Lovestoned as separate single in Sweden (only in Germany) so it's gonna sound fresh for ordinary listener.
Talking about the song - instrumental part is almost equal to original mix of raggae-pop and soul, Daniel's unique vocal-manner still drags the song to his own area of music image and personality and it's still very good track but definitely not miles away from Lovestoned's version.

Lovestoned at The Dome 54

Lovestoned keeps promoting their new single "I Know Nothing" (that I've told you about before) in Germany and recently they were honoured by invitiation to The Dome - one of the biggest European TV-shows being held in this country. Lovestoned has given very pleasant performance spreading love, positive vibes and summer mood and obviously the band was highly appreciated by German audience due to reaction from hall. Check it yourself below.

Lovestoned - I Know Nothing

Few months ago fresh pop-project Lovestoned presented itself to a wide audience of Melodifestivalen with single "Thursdays" written by Thomas G:Son and Peter Boström. It wasn't their debut on a big stage though. Band (consisting of 2 former Idol contestants - Pär Stenhammar & Colombia-born Robert Kragh, Bulgarian girl living in Germany Elena Boyadjyeva and Swedish singer Emilie Fjällström) has started with their debut single "Rising Girl" in 2009 and tried to promote it in Germany (visiting Berlin this March I was very plesantly surprised finding this single in one of trade centers on a front shelf next to Agnes' "Release Me") preparing the ground for their debut album "Rising Love". Seems like Melodifestivalen and "Thursdays" (#21 of Swedish chart) didn't help them in Sweden a lot as album is currently totally ignored in charts and it's a real shame as this is very nice pop-work with a bunch of catchy tunes, summer vibes and loud names in album credits (Oscar Görres, Danny Saucedo, Remee, Thomas Troelsen, Niclas Kings, Stephen Simmonds, Daniel Lindström, Thomas G:son, Peter Boström), in common it rolls around band's Ace Of Base-raggae style that you could catch on their singles so those who like "Rising Girl" and "Thurdays" extremely need to get this album right now, it won't let you down. Now band releases second single in Germany and it's "I Know Nothing" (written by first Swedish Idol winner Daniel Lindström, popular singer Stephen Simmonds and Fredrik Larsson), hope it will help band to finally break through there along with German promo-tour and come back to Sweden for further hard-working on bringing up their career in home country.
