David Lindgren - Move That Thing

Brand new David Lindgren's album "Ignite The Beat" is out next week! Though we've already heard 5 songs on previously digitally released EP the album will give us 4 more tracks (+ intro). New songs have some amazing teams behind - it's Thomas G:son/Peter Boström's collaboration "Breakaway", Robin Stjernberg's "You" songwriters meeting Fernando Fuentes and Anton Malmberg Hård Af Segerstad and also two songs co-written by Darin.
Today we can check one of Darin's tracks - "Move That Thing", the song was co-written by Tony Nilsson and basically you can feel Tony very well - the track is quite Nilsson's modern disco-pop with a big beat, high energy and tasty production. You can already hear Darin doing backing vocals which is always a good bonus.

David Lindgren - Skyline EP

David Lindren whose album has become #1 last year after his participation in Melodifestivalen is back this year to conquer Swedish audience again with his new EP "Skyline". Except "Skyline" and "Shout It Out" it contains 4 more tracks which sound like natural and quite good of David's sound created by company of well-known melosongwriters - Tony Nilsson, Fernando Fuentes, Sharon Vaughn, Dimitri Stassos.
I'd particularly mention "Back 2 Life" which feels like David v 2.0 and "Ignite" which is a bridge between Guetta and Tony Nilsson's production. Modern r'n'b ballad "Armageddon" is also what this EP needed. Though "Amnesia" feels quite weird and unnecessary but otherwise is a good contrast to show how good other tracks are.
You can listen to snippets of tracks here and watch David's performance in Nyhetsmorgon below.

Melodifestivalen-2013: 1st semifinal

Though I've put a blog to a slower tempo, you can always feel my presence on twitter and you know that I'm somewhere close when Melodifestivalen season is on.
The first bunch of Melodifestivalen is finally delivered ready to compete for the tickets to Friends Arena tonight.
This week David Lindgren is coming back with "Shout It Out" follow-up, sounding more mature and a bit smelling with SHM's "Save The World" (though probably with not as instantly sticking chorus but with a tougher production).
Michael Feiner and Caisa perform wonderful The Attic-sounding dance-anthem with saxophone.
Yohio surprisingly makes Cinema-Bizarre-goes-schlager-rock track.
Mary N'diaye is doing afro-dance track out of "Waka Waka" family.
Eric Gadd leaves his soul-past behind to explore Oscar Linnros-style.
Anna Järvinen though being compared to Caroline af Ugglas-2009 sounds quite Anna Maria Espinosa to me but looking at press hailing it seems like she has much bigger chances.
Jay-Jay Johanson performs the song which could be one of his non-MF singles though quite stronger and lighter than usual.
Cookies N Beans has Fredrik Kempe-penned song looking like a distant dramatic country-relative to Fredrik's Moving On/Alive/Hollow. Particularly production of bridge sounds very Hollow.
In this bunch my The Attic-loving heart falls instantly for Michael Feiner and Kempe-drama of Cookies N Beans. But David has prepared the most complete pack this week and I do like a spring Linnros-mood of Eric's song. But after listening to full versions I'm completely team Yohio. Really worthy piece of schlager-rock with amazing dramatic verses and pretty catchy choruses (and Yohio is already #3 by final winning odds by the way). So this is pleasant line-up, not as strong as it could be but some good stuff to stick into a player is there.
P.S. If you've missed the most awesome annual schlager-photoshooting, download fresh QX and enjoy this year's participants like you've never seen before!

David Lindgren - Perfect Crime

David Lingren's single "Shout It Out" has become another platinum hit of Melodifestivalen-2012 according to his Facebook page. Later I'll do the annual table of MF-singles sales success as "Euphoria" is still Top-40 but it won't be there "forever till the end of time".
The singer works on some secret stuff and rumoured as a possibly coming back to Melodifestivalen next year. We'll know it very soon but for now we can enjoy another song "Perfect Crime" (wriiten by Tony Nilsson and Fernando Fuentes - the same duo behind "SHout It Out") from his debut album David has recently presented on SVT.

Sommarkrysset: Darin, David Lindgren, Miss Li

It's getting harder to surprise us with some new faces we didn't see on other shows this summer but still we have some nice artists we don't mind to watch once again. Darin has made an energetic performance of his summer single "Nobody Knows". David Lindgren and Miss Li have already performed latest singles. Sons Of Midnight were foreign guests of this week.

David Lindgren - Rendezvous (remixes)

This year's schlager-newcomer David Lindgren keeps moving from one popular TV-show to another promoting not only his Melodifestivalen hit "Shout It Out" but also summer single "Rendezvous".
Just like in a case with "Shout It Out" pack of mixes for "Rendezvous" have arrived a bit later but has become a really bunch of dancefloor-fillers from Peet Syntax & Alexie Divello, Boondocks and Kevin Angel. David Lindgren - Rendezvous

David Lindgren proves his Melodifestivalen success with release of debut album "Get Started" that has directly gone to #1 of Swedish chart. David hasn't disappointed his new fans and has recorded a poor dance-pop album with a bunch of well-known songwriters - Tony Nilsson, Fredrik Kempe, Niclas Lundin, Anton Malmberg Hård af Segerstad, Niklas Bergwall, Darin and Andreas Moe.
Currently along with "Shout It Out" David promotes opening track of his album "Rendezvous" also co-written by Fernando Fuentes and moving in same party-vibes. David has performed the track recently in Nyhetsmorgon with "Shout It Out" and "Perfect Crime".

David Lindgren - Shout It Out (WeSmile & Alexie Divello Remix)

One of the most successful MF-2012 debutants David Lindgren prepares new album and this week he has shared a photo in studio with Fredrik Kempe that gives us a hope for some wonderful pop-collaborations on it. The album will be out on May 15 and we keep enjoying David's single which is still in the top of Swedish chart. Here's fresh mix of "Shout It Out" from WeSmile and Alexie Divello which is going to be released soon.

Meloparty with Mimi Oh, Björn Ranelid, Loreen and David Lindgren

Getting ready for a weekend we've got some party mood from MF stars of this season with some fresh mixes for their competing entries.
Mimi Oh has released a pack of Soundfactory tracks, it's right that sort of schlager-dance mix that you can call a classic Soundfactory-sound.
Björn Ranelid's "Mirakel" has got three mixes - clubby Djurpark remix, dance Fas 3 remix featuring new male rap part and retro-version Motown Remix
Jacob Czitrom who has made the remix for last year's Dilba's "Try Again" has mixed David Lindgren's "Shout It Out" changing tune and wrapping it in modern radio-friendly dance-track still leaving its pop-fascination.
And finally lately we get so many worthy "Euphoria" mixes that Loreen could release like 2 maxis but this time I'd like to show you Tiger & Wolf Remix - amazing work and absolute dancefloor stomper.

Songs of the second MF-2012 semifinal

Vdeo snippets from rehearsals of the second semifinal are out and here's what we get.
Ulrik Munther has presented new radio-hit sounding in my ears like JoJo going pop-rock. I don't think it's going to get MF-winner buzz but it's very well done and should be adored by fans on summer pop-fests.
Top Cats are Playtones without Kempe (read as without extra-something), rockabilly-stuff, not "The King" level in my ears.
Sonja Aldén comes back with a new Bobby Ljunggren schlager-ballad and Bassflow production, it's nice and should sound touching with its lyrics about passed away close person but after all flops of schlager-ballads can it have really huge success on MF?
I didn't imagine Andreas Lundstedt can surprise me singing dance-music I never heard from him but he has managed, it's a sweet melodic electro-dance pop with schlager-touch, probably what Shirley should sing in 2012 but it's lacking Shirley's drive unfortunately.
Timoteij have beautifully developed tune with energetic folk-schlager sound, I wish loads of luck to girls but I've got a feeling it won't be as big fans favorite as "Kom" was.
Nice to see Tony Nilsson persenting something fresh for David Lindgren, modern dance-song that would be a good album track for Darin or Ola but is it going to work on MF?
Mimi Oh has presented very nice electropop mix of what Linda Sundblad and Le Kid were about last year, you will hardly find from her 80s-vibes here but it's catchy, stylish and I really like production, her best single so far.
I was initially sceptic to Di Leva, I rarely put his stuff in my player but I think his arena-oriented positive pop will work good on MF. And here I've changed my mind right like I did when I've heard Thorsten Flick.
