Swedish~ Stereo~

Though Swedish Christmas-releases have started to appear lately we still miss Christmas-excitement a bit and gonna keep hungrily catching any bits from all of our faves who'll finally decide to present or share something like Erik Segerstedt who has recorded cover of Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" (he previously released it in Swedish on E.M.D. Christmas album) and has made a video on his iPhone. Look what has come out of this!

The wait is over for Sarah Dawn Finer's fans as her new single "Is Anybody There" is on the way and the artist has presented it yesterday in Nyhetsmorgon studio with Samuel Ljungblahd.
Though we expected it to become something heavily Christmas inspired it has turned to be soul track closer to the first Sarah's album, quite melodic, a bit dramatic and absolutely enjoyable.
Next Friday Christmas compilation of Sarah and Malena Ernman "En Riktigt God Jul" should be released with some songs from the latest Christmas albums of both. Also both singers have recorded "Strålande Helgonfé" in duo, Malena has made a new cover to "Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle" and "Is Anybody There" will also be included.
Sarah has also performed two Christmas songs from "Winterland" - "Wintersong" and "Angel" and I should say that the first one was one of the most touching music moments for the recent few months for me. What an incredible voice!

Hope your weekend still keeps not boring and you get as much of relax and fun as you can! As I promised I continue to present some mixes I didn't have time to talk about before and here's another bunch of them.

First one is made by Benji Of Sweden to Rebound's last single "Not Helpless", unlike first #1 single "Hurricane" second group's single hasn't charted at all so it's got very nice remix treatment and plans for the third single. Very exciting news as first two singles were all sorts of amazing!

Another last Idol successful participant Tove Styrke was as well on fire this Summer appearing in the most popular TV-shows promoting her debut single "Million Pieces". Though we've got promises to get debut Tove's album this Autumn due to silence around her new releases we're not gonna get something fast but she also gets remix support from electro-artists - popular band Familjen.

Broken Door is ready for another hit after their previous single "Angel" and it's gonna be another song that we've told you about earlier this year - "In The Shadow (Sunday Morning)". As well to all fans of Da Buzz (where Pier Schmid also particpates) we can happily announce that group is going to return in a full mode in the beginning of next year so probably soon we'll be able to enjoy music of both projects. Don't you think we didn't hear about Da Buzz (one of the greatest Swedish pop-projects ever) thousand or million years? No? Well however I do (though it's just 3). Recently I was more than excited to read on scandipop twitter that soon we can get a new single. Before it I was quite sceptic about their return at least this year. The reason is quite hot activity of side-projects of both Pier and Per (what a shame Annika couldn't break through solo during this pause), today I'd like to present them as they are really brilliant.

Per Lidén has started his rock-project Renegade Five back in 2005 but their successful debut album "Undergrounded Universe" (#8 + Grammis nomination as Best Hard Rock) was released only in 2009 with a bunch of fantastic singles (Save my Soul, Darkest Age, Running in your Veins, Love Will Remain, Shadows) with hard rock sound but the same catchy lovely tunes which you can expect from Swedish songwriters (you could listen "Seven Days" originally on Helena Paparizou's album before). Band has already started to record their second album with Roberto Laghi (producer of In Flames) and promise its release very soon so I'll come back to them very soon and wanna tell about another project.

This year time has come for Pier Schmid's project and he also decided to reject his dance-pop roots for showing his rock-side in a new band Broken Door that started quite successfuly as well. Actually Broken Door is duo consisting of Pier and Tobias Östlund and Pier here also plays the part of composer leaving vocals for Tobias. This is less aggressive and more romantic and poppier rock with great melodies and powerful vocal, sure you can hear the touch of emotional and beatiful Da Buzz's pop here also and it's amazing. Single "Angel" being released in April has reached #29 in official chart and constantly floated around in iTunes chart also. The band also plans another single "Sunday Morning" as international release, let's wish guys all the luck with it!
