Miike Snow - Pretender

Adventures of mannequin guy continue in a new music video from Miike Snow!
New promoted song from the album "Happy To You" is "Pretender" and this time the main character of previous videos goes party though it's not party-track at all. The song is pretty recognizable piano-based electro in a style of project's first "Happy To You" singles.

Niki & The Dove - Somebody

"Somebody" becomes another single from Niki & The Dove's debut album "Instinct".
To be honest not our favorite of the bunch but still nice 80s inspired tune that should open project from a slightly different side. Track will get a pack of mixes to be out on August 26th and among remixers you can even see Miike Snow guys.
But the one I like the most is Opera Clock, right that mystic work reflecting Niki & The Dove's atmosphere even better than original version.

Miike Snow - The Wave

New Miike Snow's album "Happy To You" is coming out these days and the band presents brand new video for another album track "The Wave".
Plot of this video continues what we saw in previous "Paddling Out" and "Devil’s Work" after the starship with kidnapped and turned to dancing half-mannequins people has fallen down to Earth and you probably thought that the story was finished? Check it's bizarre and wonderful at the same time follow-up.

Miike Snow - Paddling Out (video)

Not that we've got loads of video-premieres this year but I can already say that from what I've seen Miike Snow have delivered absolutely the best video for "Paddling Out" reminding me of the end of 90s/beginning of 00s when electronic artists like Fatboy Slim was making some amazing videos with plots, investing proper budget and earning loads of attention from pop-audience that would never start listening to this sort of music. It's a good track and awesome video that you absolutely should check.

Miike Snow - Paddling Out

Today Miike Snow guys unleash brand new single "Paddling Out" from their upcoming album "Happy To You" which is going to be released on March 26th.
We've already got the first sneak peek with the track "Devil’s Work" in the end of 2011 and comparing with it "Paddling Out" is quite more upbeat track, I'd say it's a disco in a way how you'd imagine disco being reborn by Miike Snow. However style of a new album gets some clear line and it's promising to be pretty delicious electronic work.

Miike Snow - Devil’s Work

Swedish band Miike Snow which has got pretty recognizable name abroad for the latest few years is on the way to the second album to be released in 2012.
Miike Snow present first track "Devil’s Work" from upcoming album - hypnotizing piece of indie-pop backed up with beautiful piano-based instrumental and anxious melody which gets minimalistic video shot by Andreas Nilsson.
"Devil’s Work" is not gonna be a single though, band will start releasing official singles only in January.

Swedes mix Depeche Mode

This Summer Depeche Mode will release compilation of mixes "Remixes 2: 81–11" made of tracks from the most different periods of their career and as you could expect forces behind this compilation get really international collecting some best DJs around the world to make proper legendary release for legendary band.
Sure you can find some recognizable Swedish names in tracklist - Miike Snow have done mixes for "Tora! Tora! Tora!" and "When The Body Speaks", Peter Bjorn and John worked on "Fragile Tension" and Eric Prydz has become responsible for mix of "Never Let Me Down Again". Results of the latest two works are already online and feel pretty tasty with Prydz' version sounding like qualitative radio-track with minimum of left vocals and Peter Bjorn and John's version leaving vocal line close to original but making it sound like song from their own album.

Miike Snow - The Rabbit

Even if you didn't hear about Miike Snow undoubtfully you listened to some hits these guys wrote for stars like Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Ms. Dynamite, Britney Spears, Christina Milian, Kelis and Jennifer Lopez.
Miike Snow is relatively young project, just 3 years old, but its songs already have mananaged to get to Brittish charts and soundtracks of American TV-series like Gossip Girl and The Buried Life. Band consists of Andrew Wyatt, Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg, I guess you've met the last two as writing/producing team under the name Bloodshy & Avant (not bad recommendation, right?). Last Autumn guys released their album "Miike Snow" along with some singles like Animal, Black & Blue, Silvia, Burial, Billie Holiday and started promoting their own stuff though you still can see Bloodshy & Avant in credits of some new releases (for example of Sky Ferreira). Soon Miike Snow is going to release deluxe version of debut album that will include new single "The Rabbit" (that was mixed not less than Stuart Price) and some other new tracks. Quite beautiful and original music, you should check them.
