Jonas Hedqvist + Afro-Dite = I Am What I Am

Seems like Afro-dite's comeback has started few months earlier than we've got rumours about their participation in Melodifestivalen with disco-track "The Boy Can Dance" which is one of mutiple songs we have pretty high hopes on.
Jonas Hedqvist who has become responsible for official Pride anthem "I Am What I Am" back in 2001 has decided to celebrate 10-years anniversary of his debut re-releasing it with Melodifestivalen-winning trio and track not losing its big musical feeling has got a bunch of disco-energy and refreshed production.
B-side "Discover The Night" featuring Britta Bergström has become pretty different, dark dancey track which could become a great option of this year's anthem getting nice catchy tune and lovely electronic arrangement.
You can check stream of "I Am What I Am" on Jonas's site and "Discover The Night" below.
Ace of Base - (Sunset In) Southern California

Well-well-well! So my personal fave from Ace Of Base's latest album "The Golden Ratio" - "Southern California" was initially recorded with original band's singers.
Around week ago Jonas Berggren has presented old demo of the track that he has recorded and produced with Tommy Ekman (Christer Sandelin's colleague by Style). Due to what I've found here track was planned to appear on post-"Da Capo" never released album (even though it sounds pretty 90s Ace Of Base to me) and finally has got a new life. You can check both versions below.

Jasmine Kara - Ain't No More Room

After a big debut in Sweden in 2010 young singer Jasmine Kara was busy all this year breaking through in UK and she was making some definite success as her songs were played on BBC radio and appearing in top of local iTunes blues chart.
Today Jasmine premieres video for her latest single "Ain't No More Room" released year ago, it's not about highest budget but Jasmine is always utterly sweet to watch and track though not being as catchy as "Try My Love Again" is sweet and melodic after all.

Carola, Magnus Uggla, Ola Salo & Petter - Genom Eld

Swedish version of The Voice has started this week and it's another show blocked by TV4 for foreigners this year so if you don't live in Sweden you can only fish pieces of it on youtube and other sites.
Jury of the show has become really outstanding - two Melodifestivalen winners, schlager-rock veteran and probably the biggest hip-hop favorite of Sweden lately. Logically we've got this glorious gang opening show and they've chosen Oskar Linnros' "Genom Eld" to perform together, you can watch below what has come out of this.

Nanne - Nag (video)

Nanne's latest album "My Rock Favourites" has become her third #4 in a row and 5th Top-10 album (out of 6), there are not so many schlager-artists who can succeed without Melodifestivalen quite long and Nanne sitting on her schlager-diet since 2007 is definitely one of them. As it usually happens Nanne goes theatrical and over-expressive in new video "Nag" but looks not a wrinkle older since her participation in MF-2007 saving obviously the best of her for the next time (by rumours she's eager to get back with One More Time). Don't miss two latest Nanns's TV-performances of "Nag" and "If the Kids Are United".
