Magnus Carlsson at Nyhetsmorgon

Have I already written review of Magnus Carlsson's new album "Pop Galaxy"? No? Gosh, alright, I have excuse in this Magnus' live performance of whole three songs. We've already saw his recent performances on tv but trust me this one is even more brilliant.
Today Expressen speculates about Magnus who gave a hint in tv-show "Förkväll" that he has some stuff for Melodifestivalen so obviously it means Magnus is trying to comeback to competition and we wish him best of luck and enjoy his music.

Vendela Hollmström - It's Not Too Late

Vendela Hollmström won Scandinavian show Camp Rock 2 and we can already check debut single and video of this young and very sweet artist. As there's nothing a lot to say about Vendela for now, let's just enjoy this beautiful song. But if you want a bit more stuff regarding Camp Rock you can check soundtrack "Fire" recorded with Ola's participation and watch Vendela Palmgren's song "Här är jag" with What's up! (when Eric Saade was still in) from previous season.
Talking about young talents I can't be silent about coming collaboration of Arash and Thomas G:Son who (together with Robert Uhlmann and Johan Bejerholm) have written song "Allt Jag Vill Ha" for Josefine Ridell - girl who will present Sweden at Junior Eurovision Song Contest-2010. Song is described as midtempo Beyonce-inspired ballad. Year before Sweden has recruited another hige international name - Alexander Kronlund who have written song "Du" for Mimmi Sandén.

Orup - Född i November

Thomas "Orup" Eriksson presents new single "Född i November" and is ready for release of same-name album later at November 24th.
Thomas is well-known and beloved artist with huge backgroung going back to 80s when he has started his career performing with big stars, presenting on Melodifestivalen-1989 (taking 2nd place) and releasing #1 albums. In 90s he tried to make break through to USA with album "Orupean Songs" and single "My Earth-Angel". Later together with Anders Glenmark and Niklas Strömstedt they've built successful trio GES and another #1 album. Thomas didn't stop to make some new solo-albums and write for different artists and collaboration with Lena Philipsson turned to be the brightest union when Lena won Melodifestivalen-2004 with Orup's song "Det gör ont". They kept working together and released common album 2 years ago, guess what place have it taken in chart? Right! Another first place in Orup's history.
In the beginning of this year Thomas released his first comeback single "Tiden Bara Gick" - dynamic life-asserting track full of Martin Stenmarck's singles uplifting energy. New song "Född i November" is another beautiful growing track with magic atmosphere, massive orchestral chorus, loads of amazing strings and charming eletric gutars in middle eight.

Ace Of Base - The Golden Ratio

Ace Of Base enjoy their breakthrough in Germany, currently "The Golden Ratio" is floating around German iTunes album-chart with new single "All For You" around iTunes single-chart. Next stop is whole world but before we'll need to check ourselves what new Ace Of Bace album is made of.

"All For You" - first hit of band with big chorus that introduced new combination of renewed female part vocals and new sound of band.
"Blah, Blah, Blah On The Radio" - summerish track presenting Julia's vocal with slight touch of raggae and exotic percussion.
"The Golden Ratio" - RedOne-inspired pop-track with attitude and "Poker Face" electric rhytm.
"Southern California" - piano-based pop-rock song very different from all other tracks but probably most fitting Clara's rock-friendly vocal.
"Told My Ma" - old school Ace of Base goes Lucky Twice, light and positive album-filler.
"Black Sea" - pop-track with killer beat, 90s synths in chorus and strong melody-line.
"One Day" - nostalgic track sounding exactly like the song from one of the first band's albums.
"Juliet" - soft and pleasant euro-ballad with lovely Christmas feeling.
"Precious" - massive base with keys coming along whole track and classic 90s AOB melody structure.
"Vision In Blue" - synth-breathing and trance-charming dance-track with big drums.
"Mr. Replay" - another comeback to old-school Ace Of Base with raggae-rap, "o-o-o-o" and girls in quite memorable chorus.
"Who am I" - original swaging retro-ballad sounding a bit like a poppier version of "Where The Wild Roses Grow".
"Doreen" - modern Swedish dance-pop of 00s, track that seems to be loved by almost everyone who gave this album proper listen.

Here I'm leaving you with "Making of" video from shoting "All For You", it's very interesting to see members of band live.

Most successful singles of MF-2010

This post was inspired by two facts - few days ago Melodifestivalen-silver Salem Al Fakir's song "Keep On Walking" was awarded at Radiogalan as the most played song of the year with 6946 rotations (Anna Bergendahl's "This Is My Life" is at #7, Darin's "You're Out Of My Life" is at #8, thanx for the tips to EuropeCrazy) and another fact is that after 7 months last MF-entry Eric Saade's "Manboy" has fallen out of the chart. Sure probably we'll see some songs coming back to chart but in common picture of this year is so.
What can we say out of this. Along with winner Anna we've got another winner of sales Eric, who undoubtfully will return to chart with "Manboy" as incredibly successful single (but unfortunately the only his successful single for now). Ola and Timoteij has got their big commercial success as well. Linda Pritchard has become the most successful non-qualifier surprisingly with Jenny Silver who took the last place of semi but reached higher position than Jessica Andersson and Pernilla Wahlgren. Alcazar has missed final firstly in its history but still was on fire on sales and has become highest Second Chance participant. Crucified Barbara otherwise turned to be the least successful Second Chance partipant and Anders Ekborg the least successful non-qualifier. Though it could be worse - songs of Anna-Maria Espinosa, Highlights & MiSt, Johannes Bah Kuhnke and Py Bäckman haven't charted at all.
