Le Kid - We Should Go Home Together

Le Kid does it again driving pop-blogging world crazy today with their new masterpiece "We Should Go Home Together"!
It's not the first time though. Year ago we've got a first sneak-peak of new amazing Swedish pop-project - team of songwriters working before with real pop-elite of Sweden (Alcazar, Velvet, Agnes, BWO, Magnus Carlsson, Eric Saade, Lovestoned). Debut single "Mercy Mercy" turned to be fantastic composition of beautiful catchy pop-tune, retro-feeling and tasty production. More synth and modern-sounding but still poppy and anthemic "Telephone" was clear proof that international pop-community has got something really outstanding - project born in a purest Swedish pop-waters that felt free to swim as far as it was needed and be brave enough to make any experiments without fear to be not understood as people behind these experiments has already proved their skills and experience many times before.
After this active year of promotion of their stuff in Sweden and Denmark Le Kid is ready for a new single "We Should Go Home Together" - amazing example of Scandinavian pop grown on crazy steroids of 80s music and modern arrangement. You shoudn't check it if you don't fall in love with Le Kid right now!

Danny, Sanna Nielsen and Anders Fernette in Melodifestivalen-2011?

Autumn is the hottest time for speculations in media about who will participate in next Melodifestivalen and therefore who will be those top-pop-artists appearing whole next year on different live events, releasing fresh music stuff and spreading all over magazine's covers here and there. Sure you shouldn't believe in everything that press claims but as usually most of revealed comes true all these rumours turned to be utterly exciting when you see some really interesting names in lists.
Aftonbladet reported today that Danny is ready to perform solo at Melodifestivalen and looking for the right song able to win whole contest (before he participated as part of EMD in 2009 and took 3rd place of the final). Among other possible names are participants of 2009 Lili & Susie, runner-ups of 2008 Sanna Nielsen and 2004 - Shirley Clamp, winner of MF-1996 One More Time re-united in the final of MF-2010 and by rumours being rejected already some years. As well Aftonbladet's sources report that Lasse Stefanz (very popular dansband-group that had to perform with "Den första kyssen (Sweet Kissin' In The Moonlight)" in 2009 but refused and the song was given to Thorleifs) are 100% gonna participate, dansband being quite popular genre in Sweden didn't do well on Melodifestivalen last years (Thorleifs, Highlights and Scotts have failed to get to the final). Anders Fernette received songs from many songwriters and currently is looking for the right song to perform also. After last two years when three final spots were conquered by Idol-participants and this year contest was won by Idol-Anna Bergendahl Mr. Björkman doesn't seem to be positive about big quantity of Idols on MF saying that exploring different genres Idol-artists need more time to find themselves after.
Below is the list of artist who are rumoured to be in Christer Björkman's wish-list:
Timo Räisänen
Ace of Base
Laleh
Sahara Hotnights
Maia Hirasawa
Elena Paparizou
Lisa Nilsson
Mauro Scocco (as songwriter)

Michaela de la Cour on Polish TV

Michaela de la Cour keeps making new solo-steps and as many of Swedish artists very welcome in Poland, she has visited contest Miss Supranational Poland 2010 with the single "Back On Earth" that she presented year before. If anything hasn't fallen out of Swedish Stereo spotlight it was Michaela's first huge tv-performance and she has tried to make it quite gorgeous not to drop level and status of Army Of Lovers ex-member. Extravagant sexual outfits, bright colours of the stage, naked skin and nice choreography - performance looked impressive, if you haven't seen Michaela's brand new image in recently presented video "HomoSapien", you can explore it now a little better.

Wrethov - We Can't Stop

This May we presented to you Anderz Wrethov with single "Runaway" that turned to become success peaking at #12 position of Swedish chart, Anderz being Swedish real hit-machine is ready for a new music stuff and you can find some cool pop-pieces on his youtube-channel.
Choice of next single isn't clear yet but "We can't stop" sounds like the most obvious single choice for us - energetic pop-song based on electric guitars, hard rhythm and anthemic backing vocals woking great with Anderz' rock-voice. But it's difficult not to fall for "Always" - beautiful euro-ballad growing to massive stadium rock song, "I'm ready" - heartful modern ballad with r'n'b-beat and touching feeling of light sadness, "Is this love" - dynamic pop-track wrapped in 90s eurodance-synths and guitar riffs with nice hook and catchy chorus and finally more electrified "Let the beat go on" another outstanding track decorated with great baseline, tasty modern production and repetetive chorus stuck in your head from the first listen. Don't miss this great stuff, tomorrow any of these songs can become next Anderz' hit.

Viridiflora - High On You

Viridiflora has released new video for her amazing single "High On You", just like the song it's dark hypnotizing video showing Jessica prisoned in walls of lonely flat singing her heartbreaking confessions and out in the darkness of the night with the sleeping city in the background and dark futuristic makeup covering her sad eyes. "High On You" still stays one of the best Swedish indie-releases of this year combining beautiful growing melody, melancholic electro-sound and fascinating intonation of Viridiflora.
Due to Viridiflora's myspace page soon we'll get another single "Mrs Tease" and we hope it will be not any worse than any other song we've heard from her so far.
