Ladies and gentlemen, here's the greatest schlager-medley I've seen so far! Melodifestivalen-stars have joined forces on Gaygalan to perform for Christer Björkman and it has turned to 15 minutes of schlager-classics from Shirley Clamp, Love Generation, Andreas Johnson, Sarek, Sanna Nielsen, Linda Bengtzing, Afro-dite, Jenny Silver, Malena Ernman, Swingfly, Måns Zelmerlöw, Charlotte Perelli. Incredible summarizing of the latest Melodifestivalen decade!

This week's guest of Sommarkrysset were huge names of Swedish pop-industry and recent Melodifestivalen-history - Martin Stenmarck with his latest single "Tonight's the Night" and old classic "7milakliv", Caroline af Ugglas performing one of her last album's tracks "Du får tycka om mig" and "En Del Av Mitt Hjärta" (Janis Joplin's "Piece Of My Heart" in Swedish), Swingfly singing his spring single "Me and My Drum".
We talked about Swingfly yesterday and Caroline's performance wasn't too entertaining this time so we point Martin Stenmark's one as the biggest highlight, a bit sweaty but quite energetic and then wasn't it the first time we had a chance to watch Martin performing "Tonight's the Night" at some big TV-show?

Summer vacation on SVT keeps going and new guests of Sommarlov are on the way.
Today it was Swingfly who visited the show and as it usually happens he has presented two of his latest hits "Me and My Drum" and "Little Did I Know".
Christoffer Hiding and Pauline weren't on the place so Swingfly had to sing choruses himself along with guys on playback, it didn't stop him and kids to have fun though so we enjoyed this performance too.

Yesterday Lotta Engberg has made big present for us inviting artists we love especially - Malena Ernman, The Poodles, Pauline, Christoffer Hiding and Swingfly. How can we categorize them all? You wouldn't expect any of them to appear at Melodifestivalen but they were there and succeeded quite well (probably Pauline not so much but still Andra Chansen is someting).
Malena was singing her biggest hit "La Voix" and fresh single "I det Fria", Swingfly performed his latest singles "Me and my drum" with Christoffer Hiding (receiving absolutely fantastic public reaction - you could expect it at least won Melodifestivalen) and Pauline has joined guys for "Little did I know". The Poodles were performing acoustic versions of their classic hit "Night of passion" and new single "Cuts like a knife", Evert Taube's "Änglamark" and "Skönheten och odjuret" together with Malena. Another guest of the show was Talang-2011 patricipant Rasmus Eriksson with "Änglahund" and his ows song "Cowboy superstar". Watch whole episode here and best pieces below.

These days I'm starting missing Pauline like I couldn't suppose I would before I've re-discovered her before Melodifestivalen-2010. What an amazing and unique artist she is. After last year's contest she has re-released her latest album, has taken part in Bydgoszcz Hit Festiwal in August and has appeared this year on records of two rap-artists - Swingfly's album "Awesomeness - An Introduction" on the track "Little Did I Know" and Petter's "En Räddare I Nöden 2.0" on the track "De Där".
Talking about "Awesomeness" it's re-release of the last Swingfly's album "God Bless The IRS" with new songs "Me And My Drum", "Rags To Riches" and "Little Did I Know" that turned to be little light tune with fantastic energy and feel-good sparkle of Jason Mraz' music. Totally enjoyable!

After "Popular" getting platinum status and "Spring För Livet" becoming golden another Melodifestivalen single's getting gold and it's Swingfly's "Me And My Drum" - after surprising beating semifinal faves and qualifying to Melodifestivalen final reaching Top-5 there it's another great success of this song.
Currently it's still in Top-10 of Swedish singles-chart with "Popular" and as support of the single we get pack of mixes - from Adam Rickfors (who deliver amazing, only amazing and nothing but amazing mixes these days) and Stereotypic mixes which I also like a lot. Hope you will too!

Album obviously gets much more international sound than previous albums, it's still Swedish pop but Swedish pop of new generation. Danny has made breaktrough internationally few years ago and it feels like exactly that growth on the album that's gonna turn heads of DJs playing previous Danny's hits to his new stuff. I already presented 4 songs of the album before and not once so let's take a look at the rest and it's a killer dance track "Tonight" featuring The Provider on a heavy drive and high tempo in recognizable Danny's style, powerful r'n'b ballad "In Love With A Lover" in "What Come Around Goes Around" style, "Never Gonna Take Us Down" featuring Swingfly - modern pop-song with anthemic chorus and slight taste of "Written in the Stars" and another ballad "Cassandra" - big emotional with slight Disney taste but still it's closer to r'n'b sound. Gorgeous pop-stuff, check yourself!

Le Kid who were left 5th in Melodifestivalen's first semifinal last Saturday celebrates victory today. Their newly released single "Oh My God" has reached #1 of Swedish iTunes-chart in the first day of sales! Impressive start and hopefully big hit of this year. Rasmus Viberg has also charted on iTunes with single "Social Butterfly" (currently #25), Dilba's single will be out very-very soon and Jonas Matsson's single also to come (thanx to Schlagerprofilerna for covers).

Talking about forthcoming singles - Sanna Nielsen who will perform this Saturday has also presented her stunning cover before and today we get another one and also pretty amazing cover of single "My Heart Is Refusing Me" from Sanna's Göteborg rival - Loreen. We already starts to fall for Loreen exploring this dark mysterious image and we're sure her entry is gonna be something very special! (stort tack for cover to Schlagerfiasko)

Melody Club today unleashed cover, tracklist and release date of their new album "Human Harbour". Besides MF-single "The Hunter" album will include previously released "I Don't Believe In Angels" and recently performed in XL-live "Sweet Disaster" and "Dreamers Wasteland". Album will be released in one day with Sanna's one - on March 2nd (few days after 4th semifinal).

Jenny Silver today revealed in chat with Aftonbladet readers that her album is planned for this Autumn and Swingfly's new album "Awesomeness" will include (among others) songs recorded with Kleerup and is planned to be out soon after Melodifestivalen final.

Few weeks ago I told you about latest single "Rags To Riches" from Swingfly and interactive video you could participate in. Now you can watch official video for this song and I can't be silent about it and not to give a tip one more time as I still consider it as the best Swedish single of last December.
It's explosive, dynamic and strong commercial pop-masterpiece with not trivial lyrics and positive video.
Swingfly will participate in the first semifinal of Melodifestivalen-2011 on February 5th with the song "Me and My Drum" written by Teron Beal, Patrik Magnusson and Johan Ramström. We keep our fingers crossed for him and expect huge hits.

Before we told you about ability to shoot new video with Linda Sundblad for a song "I'm a Star" and now Swingfly has presented brand new single "Rags To Riches" featuring Franklie and again you can participate in new music video yourself.
If you heard some previous works of Swingfly you know that he likes to mix different styles and directions in music, so "Rags To Riches" is not exception and when you meet rap-verses flavoured with guitar-riffs and electro sound and start to think that it's another hip-hop track here you face blasting chorus with brilliant pop-rock tune you completely didn't expect but it sounds as perfect as best Swedish pop-chorus can be. In video you'll see well-known schlager-faces Rigo, Christer Björkman and... sure you! Brilliant single that you can listen below and make your video here.

Today SVT revealed first 4 artists who'll perform at next year Melodifestivalen, all of them are quite popular so undoubtfully you've heard at least few names from list of artists and songwriters. If you didn't I'm gonna present you all artists during Autumn. But giving fast look on a list you can mention schlager-veteran-artist Linda Bengtzing with schlager-veteran-songwriters like Thomas G:Son so if there's someone who has doubs it's gonna be huge schlager, I would advice you to forget about them. Due to Linda's revelation she's fallen for this song from the first listen and she promises that no one will stay unsatisfied, even Bert Karlsson (another hint that song will be very schlageristic). Utterly popular dansband-group Lasse Steffanz will perform with the song of coming back songwriting team from 90s - Norell Oson Bard, actually this team already has huge experience with dansband acts but still it's interesting what Alexander Bard will bring to this song from his huge music portfolio after trio broke up. Probably mostly I'm excited about Swingfly - rap-artist who presented set of pretty nice singles not so along ago mixing hip-hop with fresh sounding pop, I'm gonna tell you about him later.

Another Melodifestivalen-newcomer is Pernilla Andersson who's not newcomer for Swedish audience in common though. She's relatively fresh name on indie stage but has already managed to release 4 albums for 3 years and all of them charted more or less well. Last one "Ö" has debuted 3 weeks ago at #11 of album-chart and right now Pernilla presents new single from it - "Som En Ö". Like the most of Pernilla's stuff this song is gentle guitar pop, a bit melancholic with feeling of light sadness and relaxing mood. You can check live performance of it right below.
