Robin Stjernberg, Nanne and Markoolio in Liseberg

Robin Stjernberg has finally got his big TV-premiere of the summer single "On My Mind" and we still adore a big voice this guy have. Definitely looking forward to his new stuff. Nanne was mostly presenting songs from her tribute rock-album and you know that this woman is an internal source of energy so this was another time when she was generously sharing this energy with the audience.

New season of Martin Stenmarck's show "Kvällen är din" where people can make their dream come true has started again. Nanne - Nag (video)

Nanne's latest album "My Rock Favourites" has become her third #4 in a row and 5th Top-10 album (out of 6), there are not so many schlager-artists who can succeed without Melodifestivalen quite long and Nanne sitting on her schlager-diet since 2007 is definitely one of them. As it usually happens Nanne goes theatrical and over-expressive in new video "Nag" but looks not a wrinkle older since her participation in MF-2007 saving obviously the best of her for the next time (by rumours she's eager to get back with One More Time). Don't miss two latest Nanns's TV-performances of "Nag" and "If the Kids Are United".

Nanne – My Rock Favourites

Around month before official release of upcoming Nanne's tribute-album "My Rock Favourites" we get a chance to listen snippets of all tracks to appear on the album. Below you can check whole list from tjyvlyssna blog.
Just like debut single "Nag" most of the album covers sounds pretty expressive and obviously 80s inspired. Best expected tracks in a bunch are classic "Heaven's On Fire", slightly Abbaesque "Will You Be There", musical-breathing "Everyday" and "I Can't Dance" unexpectedly awesome fitting Nanne's voice.

Nanne - Nag

Only one year has passed after release of the latest Nanne's album "En Rastlös Själ" - another successful Top-10 record supported by singles "Otacksamhet", "I natt är jag din" and "En rastlös själ".
This autumn Nanne's back with a new compilation "My Rock Favourites" - tribute to the most significant rock bands and songs, you can hits of AC/DC, Kiss, Ramones, Rainbow and Rod Stewart among others in tracklist.
First sneak peek from the album is Joan Jett's "Nag" released as a single and containing another album's track Sham 69's "If The Kids Are United" hinting at what we should expect from rock-Nanne and surprisingly it's not miles away from pop-Nanne rocking at her previous album. Though after multiple participation in Melodifestivalen Nanne has got a schlager-label she's not gonna erase these covers show quite well her rockier side that always played a big part in forming her music image but didn't get a proper emphasis. Both tracks sounds pretty 80s, punky in 80s way with all that uncontrollable life loving Nanne's energy and expression that was constantly winning huge audience in Sweden through all these years.
Update: video is not on Youtube anymore so you should check snippet of "Nag" on Nanne's Facebook page.

Nanne and Lena Philipsson in Gäster med gester

Yesterday SVT had a premiere of "Gäster med gester" classic tv-show's new season.
Two celebrities camps are invited to play charades with every their member to step out on the stage showing some phrases.
Biggest highlights of this night for us were Nanne and Lena Philipsson, you can watch Nanne showing "Tough feminist reluctantly attracted to plump male chauvinist in tanga in tango" and Lena with "Lady Gaga rots in a meat dress and sew blisters from lettuce" below - it's too weird to be sure I've translated it right but funny enough not to care about it. You can watch whole show here.

Nanne with old, older and oldest hits

Last week Nanne has managed to appear on SVT big TV-events twice - first time in the first semifinal of Melodifestivalen participating in sketch showing her as renewed star after some work with Peter Stormare in a role of world producer Harry Cane. Finally she performed Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" that should've pointed her upgraded level in golden dress and diva sort of staging. Not so funny sketch I think but still Nanne can bring life in every show she participates in and the same we can say about "Den Flygande Mattan" show where she has appeared to perform her probably most known and beloved hit "Håll Om Mig" and Owe Thörnqvist's cover "Varm korv boogie" as wild and crazy as she usually does. Enjoy!

Caroline Roosmark - one of the most famous photographers of country is publishing brand new calendar "Men and Women of The Year". Every year she delievers utterly inspiring collection of photos presenting the most popular musicians, jornalists, actors and other famous people in some marvelous images you can hardly imagine in and this time we've got another amazing collection of her works released in collaboration with project helping children raised by lonely parents in difficult financial terms. Everything's arranged in strict budget limits as no one gets paid and take participation on a good will but feels like collection of real photo-masterpieces, isn't it great to see Darin as Oliver Twist, Anna Bergendahl as Thumbelina or Helen Sjöholm as Mata Hari? Among others you can also see Nanne, Nicke Borg, Rikard Wolff, Charlotte Kalla and many other well-known names.

Night of schlager-duets

Here is a small weekend treatment for all schlager-crazies.
Magnus Carlsson and Pernilla Wahlgren performed old Pernilla's hit "Svindlande Affärer" on Bingolotto and what can you expect from a couple of Melodifestivalen-veterans? Right, highest concentration of schlageristic energy with all those schlager-poses, singing back to back and 100% perfect vocals.
Nanne took part in current season of Doobidoo and performed Alice Cooper's "Poison" with comic Måns Möller and though vocal is not the strongest Måns' side but still Nanne always brings loads of joy to the stage and together they looked really not bad.
And a little bit bit slowing down tempo - another Doobidoo-duet - gorgeous Lisa Nilsson and Samuel Ljungblahd performed cover of Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack's "Where Is The Love", it's not schlager but calm soul performance, very enjoyable as both artists are the owners of very beautiful vocals so hope you're gonna like it!

Nanne - En Rastlös Själ

New Nanne's album and new video for the latest single "En Rastlös Själ" is out and we can already check both.
Initially I was a bit sceptic about new single but with video treatment delievers much more joy as Nanne usually breathe in all of her energy in everything she does. And this time she also can't be serious and pathetic in any scene enjoying herself and sharing fun with viewers.
Talking about album it turned to be quite different, in common it's still stuff for only internal use and probably will be understood only by Swedish audience but however it contains some interesting moments.
First of all I should mention single "Otacksamhet" that surprised with modern electro-pop sound and turned many heads to this new side of Nanne. Further single "Inatt Är Jag Din" (Tomas Ledin cover) have gone in another direction of old-school rock and the latest single "En Rastlös Själ" again turned to new audience with its dansband touch. As another highlights of album I should mention magic "Tankar" sounding like fairytale-soundtrack and cheerful rhythmic "Hej Snygging". You can also find some old good Nanne-style anthems "Jag Ger Aldrig Upp" and "Explosivt", gentle cover of Ted Gärdestad "Himlen Är Oskyldigt Blå" and loads of another different mixes of styles. Mostly you get a feeling that Nanne tried to please with this album her old fans showing all pieces of her previous music and sure to find some new ones. Is it good in trying to please everyone with one album? You can decide yourselves checking Nanne's album here.
