Roxette - The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye (Bassflow Remake)

Roxette and Basslow's remake is proven combination of something truly poptastic and at least not any worse than original version. Last year Peter Boström has made re-production of Roxette's "Speak To Me" and now band releases new single - track "The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye" from Roxette's "Joyride"-era of 1991 (to be exact "Spending My Time"'s b-side) and again this is Peter who takes responsibility for the single version. The song supposed to be on band's latest album "Travelling" but wasn't ready in time but thanks God it's released on its own.
The result has become incredibly EPIC, this is epicness of "Speak To Me" blown up by the rockiness of the track and gosebumps-giving layers from producer of "Euphoria". With the beauty of original version's tune we get one of the most beautiful singles in Roxette's discography that you can listen below.

E-Type - Campione 2012 (Bassflow and RedTop Remake)

Some fresh, or to be more exact refreshed, music from E-Type who has made a big comeback on Swedish TV last autumn presenting a series of his covers on Så Mycket Bättre. They haven't become as big as Laleh's ones but still E-Type's fans have got a bit of everything from all Martin's music periods in this works and something to load pleayer with.
Before European Football Championship to be held this year in Ukraine E-Type brings back official anthem of championship in 2000 - "Campione" in a form of remake from Bassflow and RedTop. Basically this is not miles away from original version but has a properly updated dance production that absolutely can work in 2012. You can listen to a snippet of the single here.

Roxette - Speak To Me (video)
New Roxette's "Speak To Me" video is out and just like the video for the latest Swedish single "Way Out" it's another documentary cut.
To be honest this track deserved much more, in Bassflow version it has become the biggest music highlight of Roxette's comeback to us and we expected single to get a heavier promotion and proper music video.
However band has released "Greatest Hits" compilation in US recently and currently records songs for another album being on tour so probably guys save resources for a new stuff.

Kim Fransson - Worn Out Sail

It was pretty silent around ex-participant of popular TV-show Made In Sweden Kim Fransson since he has broken up with producers accusing them of stopping collaboration and no activity and contacts regarding his career. Kim has started quite successfuly releasing #1 single "3 Floors Down" and well charted album but after the conflict audience didn't see and hear a lot of him.
However Kim was signed by Held Management - the same company that works with Anders Fernette, The Poodles and Lillasyster and earlier this year was singing backing vocals behind Anders Fernette at Melodifestivalen. Talking about Kim's own stuff, last year he has recorded duo "Long Long Night" with ex-Idol Robin Bengtsson and few other lovely produced pop-rock songs that we surprisingly like more than everything else on his debut album (you can listen to them on Kim's site).
But the track that has caught our attention mostly was "Worn Out Sail" - huge emotional pop-ballad produced by Peter "Bassflow" Boström starting very softly almost like lulluby and getting big stadium rock-feeling in chorus with Kim's husky voice though all hints at rock-sound are replaced with amazing synth-arrangement reminding a bit Roxette's single-version of "Speak To Me" that Peter worked with. We really hope that this track will bring Kim back to the radio and wide audience as it seems like he has much more to give in future.

Martin Stenmarck - Tonight's The Night

From the very first time we've heard about Martin Stenmarck we liked more or less everything that he made in music and still enjoying his fantastic album "One" nine years after its release and now we're still following every step of his career discovering new single "Tonight's The Night".
Martin stays pretty successful artist in Sweden and his last cover "Everybody's Changing" has spent 14 weeks in chart and has become real hit. Now we have another shot in English but with original stuff written by Martin and produced by Peter "Bassflow" Boström. I should say that latest Martin's singles caused buzz in pop-world much more in Bassflow mixes so it was really reasonable decision to release new work in Peter's production directly.
What we've got is 80% what you can expect hearing combination of Martin and Peter in one track. "Tonight's The Night" is epic pop-rock track with rhytmic stomping verses massively growing and growing to bombing and blasting chorus that is just HUGE!!! The rest 20% that you don't expect is pretty enjoyable growth of Peter's mixes and logical evaluation of sound, so voilà - they did it again!
Tomorrow Martin starts his new show "Kvällen är din" where he'll be making ordinary people's dreams come true so we hope our small wish of premiering new single live will be noticed as well. However below you can already check acoustic version of "Tonight's The Night" in Efter Tio.

Roxette - Speak To Me (Bassflow Remake)

Three months after release of the first Roxette's comeback single "She's Got Nothing On (But The Radio)" band is ready for a new one and we happily announce that it's one of our most beloved tracks from the album "Charm School" - "Speak To Me".
Beautiful dreamy ballad with old-school rock-chorus softened with Marie's vocal and becoming very female and touching in a vein of "Wish I Could Fly" - that's what we thought had to be the best choice for the second single.
But then we've got some incredible news - Peter Boström (Bassflow) was intended to make new version of the song and what has come out of it has become something you completely don't expect when you hear about remake/remix from Peter. As you probably know Peter worked with Tony Nilsson and new version of the song was left in original tempo with verses getting more electronic and meditative and chorus getting more massive in a way of Tony's ballads for Darin and Elin Lanto and sure we love it like we use to!
Credits for upload of the track go to awesome Poster Girl.

Dance weekend (part 3)

Like I promised you we're finishing this weekend with final bunch of some last mixes. It doesn't mean fun is over though as I already have plans to tell you about some interesting music pieces during nearest days. But let's say goodbye to previous week loud and glad!
Anders Fernette is hot candidate before next year Melodifestivalen so in case if it'll happen we have a chance to see this amazing artist everywhere if he'll succeed so we keep out fingers crossed and till there's no sign of new single we can enjoy Mark Pride dance remix of his latest single "Lola".
Remember few days ago I told you about Adrian Lux? Earlier this year he has made remix for one of the biggest hits of this Summer - Oskar Linnros' "Från Och Med Du", original track is quite summerish and warm so the finest thing in this mix that this lightness doesn't disappear. Mix was pushed out on iTunes as separate release.
And the last but not the least at all. Thomas Di Leva has released new mix and video for the last single "Another Day In Paradise". Unfortunately I can't say I was blown away by original track (I mean it's still Phil Collins' cover but in original Di Leva's version) but I was completely sold for Bassflow mix - combination of strong guitar baseline and "Hero"-esque beat immediately made this track one of the worthiest music dishes that I strongly recommend you to check right away.

Martin Stenmarck - Everybody's changing

Martin Stenmarck keeps working with Scandic Hotels and presents release of new promo-single "Everybody's changing" (cover of popular Keane's song produced by Peter "Bassflow" Boström) that you can listen and download on Scandic's site. First such single-collaboration with Scandic "A Million Candles Burning" (original song written by David Stenmarck, Peer Åström, Nick Jarl and Martin Stenmarck) was released in the end of 2008 and became #1 hit in Sweden.
"Everybody's changing" has no big differences from original version of the song but Martin's vocal can never spoil the song and can be only bonus so it's a very welcome cover.
For those who eager to get some new Martin Stenmarck's stuff probably you've missed his recent amazing rock-song "All The Way" that wasn't included in Martin's album "Septemberland" but I'd say it's better than at least half of the album, I highly recommend it!
